OYO 70250 Royal Residency

Review for Royal Residency, Namakkal: I recently stayed at Royal Residency in Namakkal, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. The room conditions were extremely poor. When I entered the room, it was clear that it hadn't been properly cleaned after the previous guest. The bed linens, including the bedsheet and pillowcases, were dirty, with visible stains and marks, which was very unpleasant. The bathroom and toilet were also in terrible condition. The toilet didn't flush properly, and there was a constant unpleasant smell. The washbasin was filthy, with what looked like someone's leftover mess still there, making it feel unhygienic and uncomfortable. The overall state of the bathroom and room was unacceptable. In addition, the air conditioning didn't work despite repeated promises that it would be fixed "in an hour." They couldn't provide us with a different room, so we were left to endure it through the night. The only positive part of my stay was the young room service boy, Tarun, who was polite and helpful. However, my experience with the receptionist (whose name might have been Vaibhav or Babeswaran) was very disappointing due to his poor attitude and lack of customer service. I was also asked to pay an extra 480 rupees upon arrival, even though I had already booked through OYO. After calling OYO, the additional charge was reduced to 300 rupees, but it still felt unfair. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone due to the lack of cleanliness, poor facilities, and unprofessional customer service. This experience was not worth the money, and I would advise others to avoid this hotel.

One of the very worst hotel in namakkal.. total cheating.don't go this hotel.

It was my mistake that I saw the pictures of the Coastal Grand Hotels and booked a room in Royal Residency, supposed to be a sister unit. It is primarily a lodge, The amenities were basic. The room and the rest room were neat enough. The AC was functional. The list of missing items is longer - no lift, no towels, no soap, no phone and no room service. As a low cost 'lodge' it is fine. But I am disappointed that it is part of the Coastal Grand. I am cursing myself for not looking at the name of the hotel ('Coastal Residency' vs 'Coastal Royal Residency' while doing a google search.

Cons: * Don't book through OYO, Hotel management asks for extra money otherwise they were not allow us to check-in. * Not a covered parking, Even CCTV also not installed. They should improve. * If we contact the phone number provided in maps, it goes to OYO. Not sure why Hotel management updated their phone number in maps. I can see replies for most of the review, but they are not updated their contact number here. Proc: * Rooms are good and maintained neatly * AC good

Stayed for 3 days, through a weekend. Kind staff. Quick to serve food, mostly. Taste was good. No proper table in the room. Otherwise, decent facilities. Nobody really cleaned the room up over 3 days, which was weird. Breakfast starts only by 9am, which was quite late for me. Better to eat elsewhere (walk half a km to find restaurants). Not easy to get a rick nearby though. Should walk a bit.

At first they denied the rooms, saying booking amount is low. had to wait at reception for half an hour to get the thing sorted out. very pathetic service, dirty linens, no elevator, no Bell boy to assist your luggage. rude staff. no hotwater in the bathroom. no intercom, broken switches..!! hotel situated in a gully, parking is bit far from the hotel, so you have to Park and carry your luggage all the way to hotel. Funny part is this property also belongs to Costal residency namakkal. Stayed: 22-Jun- 2023 | Classic

Negatives: If we booked through OYO, the hotel management didn't allow us to check-in until we paid the additional money requested. Even though I have contacted OYO support the problem is not resolved. Another major problem is, if we called the number provided in google maps, it is diverting to OYO booking service. (You can contact the number provided in the attached image. Since the restaurant and hotel located in same place and same receptionist maintaing the same) Positive: The room is neat and clean. Maintenance also good.
