Golden Lake View Resort

Worth for money and very decent room with balcony, while brokers were showing us small rooms with higher price during our holiday visit in December. Golden lake view have fixed price and you can directly book it.

We had booked a 'Lake View' room at this hotel for a 2 night stay through Stayzilla. When we reached there after 7 hours of bus journey, the only person at the reception, who speaks only Tamil by the way, informed us somehow that there was no room booked for us, and he had not received any communication from Stayzilla. After a few frantic calls back and forth to Stayzilla, and after both parties had successfully placed blame on each other, we were mercifully given a room at a higher tariff. We had no option but to take it as all the other Hotels seemed packed due to a long weekend, and we were too tired to actually go looking for a different place in any other area. ||||Even after this experience, I gave it a rating of 3/5 due to its location and cleanliness. It is walkable from the lake and the bus stand. So it is a boon for travelers who do not have their own vehicles. Also, it is next door to Hotel Shevaroy, which is perhaps the ONLY place in that area where you get decent food. The room and the bathroom were clean and spacious, and there was a nice little balcony to sit and enjoy the weather. There is no restaurant in this hotel but Shevaroy's is right next door, so food isn't an issue. The only challenge is you cannot get anything delivered to your room.

I booked this room through Goibibo and got it for a reasonable price. The room was very spacious and neat. The bathroom was also very clean. We got a room in the ground floor and hence there was nothing special about the view. The only problem i faced was the non availability of hot water. There was power issues due to heavy rain and hence they were running on generator. Because of that their geyser and tv was not working. Also had issues with using the charger. But overall the experience was not that bad, considering the amount we paid. The staff was polite though not very friendly.

We had our team outing to Yercaud on last December. We heard from many of our friends that December is the right time to visit yercaud. And we realized whatever they said is true. Climate was too chilly and cold wind will flow all day. We stayed at Hotel Lake View Resort for the weekend. Biggest positive of this resort is it's location and excellent view it provides. We had breath taking view from our balcony. Food was good and the service was excellent. We had a nice time staying here, definitely worth the money.

Excellent 2 days stay, Service was very good, Staff are very kind, amazing location, good food, don't miss the off road ride, Vishwa, Anand and Saravanan staffs made us conformable through out the stay. Kudos to all them...

It's Good we can stay

Booked using stayzilla day before my travel for a very good price. Rooms were tidy and when i asked for a mop and change of bed sheets for the next day they did it neatly with out making fuss. Yes, communication is a problem they do not understand anything other than tamil. They do not have a restaurant but that was not a problem because there are 3 hotels very near by and room service is provided from one of these hotels.

Location is good but nothing much to write about. Since the trip was planned is last moment, we didn't have any other choice. Stayed with friends for 1 night. Very basic hotel from facilities perspective & not much clean as well. Suited for bachelors and strict no for family's
