Hotel Visakan Rameswaram

One of the worst hotel near the temple which I stayed.. Showcased as per hotel profile photos but experience is worst don't go by photo pics check everything before taking the room. Worst part does not have Lift we have to carry the luggage or room service guys will provide support. Checked in Room 1 - Room filled with cockroaches and AC works like freezer Asked them to change room Room 2 - AC does not provide cooling even kept to 18c hotel claiming it will take 10 min to get cooled, even after 2 hrs. Again cockroaches Mid of night power goes off and with DG on AC does not work, even worst part after power came back AC does not switch on.. sophisticated couldn't breathe. Bed sheets full of dirt and blankets torn Can't explain everything here if ur going with kids to this hotel all the best

Room is very near to agniteerthan and main temple east and north gate. Staff was very polite. We paid 3400 for 3 people on rush day for 2 nights for AC room.

Had a good experience. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed. Walkable distance to the temple. Special drying space after the bath at agni theertam and 22kund. Good parking area too.

I recently in March 2025,visited rameswaram with my family, we r staying in visakan hotel, very well maintained and neat& clean, every things is ok, very near to Temple and see. *But only one minus is there is no lift.* V r stayed in 3rd floor.

The biggest and ONLY USP of this place - located midway between the temple and Agni teertha (sea bathing point). The main entrance is in a gully where only pedestrians and two wheelers can pass. If you are going by a vehicle, the parking lot is at the rear, difficult to find and a roundabout route to reach. The hotel is 5min walk from temple entrance for 22 teertha snaana. Rooms: Quite small. Just enough place for a double cot and to keep couple of suitcases. Bathroom is basic. No linen or soap provided. Cleanliness is adequate. Rooms have no windows! AC has to be kept on, no fresh air otherwise. Only 4 rooms on each floor. NO LIFT available to 1st and 2nd floors. Biggest drawback: No good eateries close by. The ones within 5min walk are not very clean. Good restaurants are 15min walk away. Overall verdict: I wouldnt book here if travelling with elders/kids due to lack of a restaurant close by, lack of lift and room size. Its fine for just a night or two stay for a young couple.

Rooms are nice. Location: You can walk and not even take an auto into that street.

This is a very good place to stay near Sri Rameshwaram temple in very reasonable rate, bathroom is small but clean and tolerable, all the facilities available near hotel.

Had a nice stay experience in the hotel. Very very near to the temple and convenient rooms. Only draw back is that they do not have a lift so while booking choose a room in lower floors.
