Hotel Senthil Andavar

I visited for just a day - arrived in the morning, took an auto, and asked the driver to take us to a good hotel. He brought us here, and it turned out to be a great choice! The hotel is conveniently located near the west entrance of the temple, just a short 3-5 minute walk away. There's also a restaurant right next to it, so food and accommodation were sorted. Most other places we needed to visit were about a 20-40 minute auto ride away. We managed to get a double bedroom as a last-minute booking, and it was surprisingly clean and spacious. Hotel bathrooms are usually a concern for me as they tend to be unclean, but this one was spotless! The staff provided excellent service, making the stay even more comfortable. The only downside was the strong smell of cleaning chemicals, including phenol, which triggered my allergies. Apart from that, it was a fantastic, budget-friendly place to stay. One heads-up - only tip those who actually provide service. There were a few people, seemingly unrelated to the hotel, asking for money. Best to avoid giving them anything. Other than that, a great stay overall!

Never book a room at this hotel. We arrived at the hotel at 8:45 AM and booked a double room with facilities including AC just for freshening up. After waiting for about half an hour, we finally got the room. Since there were six of us, it took some time to freshen up. Even though we had booked the room including AC for 2000 rupees, they asked for an additional 500 rupees. When we thought of waiting in the lounge due to the heat, they turned off the fan. There is another hotel nearby that provides food in very unhygienic conditions. Overall, it was a very bad experience. The person who introduced himself as the owner behaved in a very rude manner. Anyone planning to visit the temple with expectations of a pleasant atmosphere should avoid booking a room in this hotel. The only positive aspect is the availability of parking space, but otherwise, the service is very poor.

Rooms are good, service is so bad that we had to vacate and find another hotel today. We booked 2 double ac rooms on 5th May 2025. Morning the order for tea was from the hotel attached to the lodge, but by afternoon the receptionist/manager is allowing people /tea stall from outside to take order for Tea who comes to our room and gets inside the room even if we tell them to stay outside the room. The guy took money in advance and gave us tea in plastic cover with paper glass seperately, which we didn't accept and complained to the receptionist and asked to call the manager he told he himself is the manager and when complained he is trying to hide something and trying to take the issue lightly and he jokingly told he shall inform the owner behalf of me. I told I will give a Google rating and if the owner is a responsible person will get to know about it. I felt very bad that the owner/management is least bothered about the customers than their security.

We visited Rameswaram in last week of Feb and this is the nearest hotel we found to checkin, ground floor room was convenient. You will get nearby restaurants. Overall it's easy to go to temple in morning and evening time. If you like North Indian food then better to go punjabi dhaba near by shravanan bhawan. If you like south indian food then shravanan bhawan is best which is walking distance of temple west gate

the ONLY BEST part is the hotel is within 100 meters of Ramnath mandir west gate. Apart from that nothing was good. We booked an AC double sharing room for 2 nights but the charging points were not working, tv was not working, after asking for 5-6 times they gave us towels, nobody came for room cleaning. The room charges are extremely high but literally the prices are not at all worth it. This post is not about complaining but providing the honest feedback because the room charges are so high and all the money are getting into pockets of hotel owners. The service providers probably don't get much money as salary. It's quite sad.

Senthil Andavar Restaurant - Convenient Location but Mixed Experience** Located very close to the Rameshwaram temple, this place is easy to find. While they do have a dedicated parking space, it's disappointing that restaurant customers aren't allowed to use it -- making it tough for those arriving by car. We visited at night while searching for a good idly spot and decided to give it a try. The service was impressive -- quick, efficient, and attentive. The staff took our order promptly and the food was served without delay. However, the food itself was a mixed bag. The dosa had a bitter aftertaste, possibly due to the batter, and wasn't enjoyable. On the other hand, the parotta was soft and tasty. The idly with sambar dip was decent, though the fact that sambar and chutney were served separately made it a bit inconvenient. Pricing was reasonable, but given the overall quality, it didn't feel like great value. A decent stop for quick service, but there's room for improvement in the taste department.

Location near the temple and decent empty land space for car parking. Rooms are big, but looked like an old building refurbished They charged 6000 INR, for a 6 bedded big room with two bathrooms. We went on a high season day, prices can be lower on normal days. One of the ACs did not work and the other had no remote. When asked for a remote service, the person never helped. One bathroom had the toilet seat broken. Hot water was not available. The intercom was not working. Had to reach reception multiple times in person to get anything done. Never book this hotel online. Go in-person check the rooms you pick and all elements personally before taking room If you want safe car parking and want a room near the temple, check all the necessary elements the room and book.
