Hotel Rama Palace - Rameswaram

Location is good and thanks to team for allowing me to park my car inside the campus. It is just a basic place and don't expect much. Request management to clean the premises properly and keep all the waste out of building. Management can spend some amount to plant few saplings and plants yo make the place beautifully since there are enough place inside the campus. Even they can put few kids playing swings to make the place more kids friendly. Also please put a new sofa and make a good reception. Price is bit high..

This is not a hotel it's a bungalow converted to accommodate guests. Place is very near to temple at a easily walkable distance. Rooms are also good in size and maintained well, only issue with checking timing they will not provide room on time you have to easily wait for 2-3 hours .

Strictly not recommended.Avoid this place at any cost.Staff are totally unprofessional. I had booking for my family ( booked 2 room). They seemed to overbook the room due to which there was unavailablity of room. They asked us to adjust in one room for 20-30 minutes but the wait extended for 5 hours. Trip started with very unpleasant experience and the owner/manager wasn't soft spoken.

Extremely poor management and unethical practices. The owner of RAMA PALACE RAMESHWARAM scammed us by giving away a room that we had booked and paid for a month in advance. On the day of check-in, while en route to the property, I called the owner for directions, only to be informed that he had allocated our reserved room to another guest, completely disregarding our prior booking. Despite our protests, the owner insisted that we had no choice and forced my family of 7 to stay in a single room. The condition of the room was appalling--filthy and unhygienic. There were cockroaches, dirty bedsheets with visible dirt and blood stains, and an unclean bathroom with a disgustingly dirty closet. The owner's behavior was rude and unprofessional. He demanded 8,000 for a room where seven people were crammed without any alternative provided, leaving us no option but to comply as the notice about the unavailability of our reserved room came just an hour before check-in.

Overall decent experience here at Rama palace, Rameshwaram. Feels more like homestay, rather than calling it as hotel. I would say select this property considering below points. Pros: 1. Good location. Very near to temple. 2. Specious rooms with 2 double beds to accommodate 4-5 people in single room. 3. Decent space for car parking. But you need to think before parking as cars need to be parked in single row behind each other. Otherwise parking space is available outside property. Cons: 1. Rooms are not clean. Lots of mosquitos, cockroaches and ants in the room. The interior of the room is not good. Just a simple room. 2. Staff is not that prompt. Always need to ask for the basic things like towel, soaps etc. No drinking water provided. 3. Basic amenities like chairs, cupboard are missing. You will get only bed and sofa in the room. 4. No food available.

Heavy charges and Worst stay ever had. Can't open any window all broken and will fell down. basic things like water, towels,glasses soap not provided.. I checked nearby shiva shakti hotel rama charged us huge amount and it's far from temple.. I don't who have provided review it's walkable.. If you grandparents or papa mummy not able to walk a lot will trouble a lot by this stay.. Total dust and not able to sleep at all...

Terrible experience, got fleeced by the owner who deliberately gave away a room which was booked earlier. DON'T TRUST THIS PLACE AND DON'T BOOK HERE.
