WIND CHIMES

Very rude behaviour of the owner. We did not liked the rooms and got confused with wind chimes hotel and homestay. The owner asked for full payment very rudely and was forcing to stay at the hotel which was literally a 10x10 feet room for 4 people. When we refused to stay at the hotel no refund or half payment was provided saying we wont give it back and we had to leave the hotel without getting back our advance payment.

Very bad. This hotel is scam. In photos they have shown big rooms and in real rooms are very small. They will thug you if you ask for refund. Not recommended

The staff is very kind, cooperative and excellent customer centric. The place is just 100mtrs to the less crowded, Auroville beach, where you get a feeling of private beach experience. Breakfast is delivered from outside tie up, which is kinda OK but not that great though. An indoor restaurant would be great plus. Room AC is also connected to genset, which is good, when it is switched ON, as soon as the power goes off, than being reactive. Entire Puducherry and Auroville areas have frequent power cuts. In summary, one can revisit the hotel many no. of times.

We got stuck in with a poor service cottage and due to its ambience we checked out that hotel and moved to this hotel. Here the stay is good with proper room service's and cleanliness. Mr. Raja took friendly care in service and for the price its reasonable and worthy to stay.

Wind chimes is so pathetic place rooms are dirty, bed bugs are more, and they scam people if you forget to mention that you made advance booking Mr Raja big time scammer I made 12000 in credit card and balance 2000 in cash for 3 rooms and I literally forgot to take advance money 2000 when I called he said that 2000 which I paid in cash was not given him I askd to check camera .. he his deleted and saying data not available for that particular date and even spoke to his owner he his not bothered Plz don't go more of bed bugs stinky place.. be careful while ordering food even they cheat for more money

We had a very mediocre experience while staying here. Since we visited this place during the time of New year the cost of the rooms were double the rate which was a whopping 5 k approximately. We were provided only one blanket for two people which is not an ideal scenario when two people are not from the same family. Since we went through the organising team we were here on twin sharing and after multiple requests we were given 2 single blankets. They do not have continuous hot water running but it even takes an hour or more for the water to get hot after the geyser / heater is switched on. Since it was chilly we hardly took a bath in the morning and left for exploration. The only upsides of this hotel is that it is in close proximity to the Auroville beach. The hotel is also very far from the city centre. This hotel does not have any food service inside we have to order from outside. This hotel can improve more if taken care of all these things. They do not have a phone but we have to go down every time if we need anything. Not worth the price we paid for the stay.

Located on a narrow road were 2 cars cant cross. It is very close to beach but the beach is not clean and apt for families. Parking area is very congested so that your wake up time depends on your neighbours check out time. No toiletries or towels. Rooms were not very clean but they applied some room spray. Spiderwebs spotted everywhere in the room and false ceiling was starting to decay. Water bottle and wifi available on demand. Breakfast provided was OK although there is no restaurant inside this hotel. But the price they charged was 3k which is not at all worthy for the service and facilities got.
