had a great stay at this homestay. The setting is beautiful, surrounded by hills and greenery, with a natural, non-commercialized feel. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, adding to the relaxed atmosphere. The food was tasty, and features like the canal, private waterfalls, and pools made it a unique experience. The manager, Dhilip, was welcoming and made sure guests were comfortable.

Had a great stay in Banyan Tree Resort with our family over the weekend. The farm stay is located in a wonderful, calm and secluded spot with an amazing view. There was also a small private waterfall in the vicinity. The service was very good and they also served us with tasty home cooked food for lunch, breakfast and dinner. There was no mobile network inside the resort, but they do provide wifi. The only difficulty is during the power outages, you will have no network at all. There was power outage for most part of the evening when we stayed there. However, they provided power backup for essentials like fan and light. And the weather was pleasant when we visited. So it was manageable. Overall a good place to stay when you plan a visit with a group of family members or friends.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at Banyan Tree Resorts, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment we arrived, Manager of this property Mr.Dileep greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service that set the tone for a fantastic stay. The resort's setting is nothing short of breathtaking, with stunning views and beautifully maintained grounds. Our room was a perfect blend of comfort and luxury, featuring private balcony, spacious rooms, Clean washrooms etc.. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into the design and amenities. One of the standout aspects of our stay was the attentive and friendly staff. They went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our visit was enjoyable, from providing local recommendations to accommodating special requests with ease. The resort's facilities, including the facilities like the pool(needs some maintenance), kids play area, indoor activities, etc... were well-maintained and added to the overall relaxation and enjoyment of my stay. If you're looking for a place to unwind and indulge in some top-tier hospitality, Banyan Tree resort is the perfect choice. we can't wait to return !.....
Had a good experience, enjoyed a lot in this farm house on my vacation. Food was too good and tasty. Can spend more time on this property by moving around the farm. Good maintenance overall especially in dining area and swimming pool. Dileep coordinated us very well, suggested many places to visit and nice to have such a good mannered person in their management.
Had a great stay with our family. Home made great food for all the 3 times and enjoyed it..the swimming pool and the dining area are kept very clean and the Manager Mr.Dilip & team gave us a wonderful service. Kudos to them. Fortunate to meet the owner Mr. Prabhu while our stay. He is such a down to earth person and takes care of the guests in a personal way..our respects to Mr.Prabhu. Overall a great, satisfied , value for money kind of resort to stay
Our Family of 4 landed at the venue and the greetings by Mr. Dilip was extraordinary and very warm. He explained in detail about the resort, what is good and bad, about the food, what to see locally etc. First -The room was great very heritage type which we all loved. The cot / bed and the spreads were quite clean and the view from the room was quite beautiful. The toilet is huge and pretty clean. There is big balcony which oversees the mountains- Great view and calm environment with lot of peacocks, Malabar squirrel. Second - Food - As we are Vegetarians, we got the best and homely food all the three times of the day with excellent coffee and tea... The dining area is quite awesome with lot of table and chairs (open area) ... The food was very tasty, and we all loved. The quantity is so much we will become full each time we eat. Resort - Great place very calm & secluded spot with beautiful views. There is a small and beautiful waterfalls in the property which is private, and Mr. Dilip was so helpful in taking us there and making us to take a dip and to feel and home, there is not network at all and the resort provides WIFI... one way it is blessing in disguise as we can purely enjoy the vacation. Mr. Dilip is an excellent host and very helpful and humble. He can assist us with Transportation / places to see etc., Finally, we did meet the owner of the property, and they were so humble and they spent a good amount of time with us telling us about their garden, flowers, medicinal plants etc. Overall a excellent and memorable trip/vacation which we all will cherish till we go there again (for sure). We recently stayed at Banyan Tree Farmstay, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what was advertised. The photos on the website are highly misleading--they show the owner's private bungalow, which is completely out of bounds to guests. While the property is decent and basic, it certainly doesn't match the facilities advertised.||We expected to stay in the charming heritage farmhouse shown online, but despite there being only two families (ours included) during our stay, we were placed in newly constructed, unfinished basic rooms. These rooms still had construction markings (arrows and numbers) on the walls, with exposed piping visible. To make matters worse, there was no toothpaste, and towels weren't changed.||The so-called "dining area" turned out to be a basic outdoor mess-like area, far from the nice, inviting space we saw on the website. The gym, which is supposed to be available, was in terrible shape--and surprise, it's actually the owner's personal gym! Even the swimming pool and other facilities (cinema room, cosy dining area, living room area, etc.) were gated off behind a "Private Property - Entry Restricted" sign, as they were the owner's private areas. Since the owner wasn't there during our stay, we weren't allowed to even view any of these areas.||There's nothing much to do nearby, which is expected. The trek they offer is just a walk through the coconut plantation. I would be perfectly happy with such activities, if the place were AS ADVERTISED, i.e. nice and inviting so I can spend an afternoon in. Unfortunately, the areas where we could access were quite the opposite - very basic, uninspired, and lacks any charm.||I really wish I had read the reviews before booking because this experience was extremely disappointing and felt like a complete cheat.||I would've been okay with basic accommodations if the facilities were as advertised, but sadly, that wasn't the case.||Be aware before booking--you won't get what you see on the website.
I am certain this is the only "terrible" rating I have ever given on TripAdvisor...I couldn't even imagine what would warrant that rating until we arrived here at the Banyan Tree. I wish I had read the reviews before booking this but instead I looked at the website and saw a property with lovely wooden buildings with the described heritage and charm surrounded by a farm filled with trees and plants of all kinds. However, when we arrived, we were shown to our rooms in a recently constructed concrete structure and provided just basic furniture and completely absent of charm. There was space for a small fridge but no fridge, no extra chairs, just the minimum needed. The bathroom offered shampoo, towels and nothing else. It turns out there are other rooms in a wooden building, not sure why they were unoccupied, but we learned that most of the photos on the website were taken at the owner's private residence.|Throughout our room was evidence of recent construction and recent guests including construction dust layers in the toothbrush holder, handwritten marks on the tile, a layer of dust and dead bugs on the headboard, smears on the mirrors and dirty tea mugs. Additionally, there was no service on the second day to refill our water bottles, empty trash and replace toilet paper etc. We had to ask for every single thing and even then we didn't get all that was needed. (as a point of reference the four of us have traveled extensively in India and stayed at locations without electricity or toilets that provided a bucket of cold water for bathing, but it was also what we expected and didn't mind at all)||We asked the manager if we could go wander the grounds and explore and he said no, we were to stay in our rooms and relax until dinner (this was at 2pm). Finally our driver called the owner to say there were some concerns and the owner came over to speak to us. He told us things that weren't true such as the manager was new to the job and didn't know what he was saying. When we looked at reviews we could see he had been there at least a year. We felt like we were being told what the owner thought we wanted to hear. Being lied to and deceptive advertising doesn't make for a positive experience. He did offer to show us around and we had a pleasant walk around the farm. || The website also noted the owner was a food connoisseur. At a farm stay one expects to be eating mostly food grown on the farm, this was not to be true. Our meals consisted mainly of lentils and potatoes and the chicken was more bone than meat. No special local dishes or unique meals were provided. The flavors were good but not anything one would expect from a noted connoisseur. The final evening we were served apple crisp which had a piece missing and the dough was partially raw. One of our companions has a serious food allergy and at the first meal an attempt was made to accommodate that (and they knew well in advance from our tour company) but after that minimal to no attempt was made and our friend was left sitting looking at an empty plate after the manager confirmed all the items on the table, except the chapati at one meal and plain rice at another, included the ingredient she is allergic to. ||Finally, there was the curiosity that we were the only guests here during the height of tourist season where everywhere else we had been was quite busy. Additionally, it was odd that we were told by the manager that we didn't have to provide our passports and sign paperwork as is expected at every hotel, homestay and farm stay when we travel in India. When the owner came to speak with us, he said the manager didn't know about the rules and he took a photo on his phone of our passports but not our visas and no paperwork was provided for a signature.
