All Seasons Guest House

This property is 13KM ahead of Valparai town, near the old NEPC Tea Factory. This is the only portion of the hills that have mist formation in the estate. decent place. not fancy room, but comfortable. hot water facility available. Food was good. unlike past review it is not true that recycled food is provided. me and my family of 4 had hot freshly made food for each meal. service could be a bit quicker but in the end was a decent stay. there are no inhouse activities. we were on a wildlife photography trip (LTM, Hornbill, Thar) and dint need any activities. but if you are looking to spend time only inside the property, there is nothing for you.

sorry for my late review, if anyone wants to be with fog and mist and some rain for 24x7 i can challenge anybody that you can witness only in all seasons guest house.it is just situated at the top of the 30th hairpin bend and during every june,july august and upto middle of september the climate will be like this i was told.there are good many modern resthouses are there but witnessing fog and mist can be only at all seasons .so for a nature lover it is a treat. guesthouse is big and decent and u can have very nicefood on time with moderate price.mr. sunil the incharge is very nice persons he can walk an extra mile to keep the guest at good will. try and enjoy. john trichy

We took the entire bungalow for for a group consisting of three families. This entire bungalow consists of three big bedrooms, and two small bedrooms attached in the rear. So it makes it totally five bedrooms. The three big bedrooms are part of the original building, which looks like old British bungalow. The two bedrooms in the rear side are very small and they are a later addition to the old building. Hence better to avoid these two rooms unless your group is too big. ||||The furniture are very basic, the mattresses are not very comfortable. The bathrooms are only average in cleanliness. But the atmosphere of the house is very homely and it gives you the old world charm feeling.||||The manager Sunil was really helpful, he asked us to pay a minimum advance amount to book the rooms, then he blocked the entire bungalow for us. Even though he was not available when we landed there, he made sure that everything was taken care of.||||The food was cooked in the kitchen which is part of the bungalow itself. There were three male cooks. These people did an extremely good job of cooking, the food was very homely and very tasty and served very hot on the dining table because the kitchen is just a attached to the dining. As we were the only family staying in the bungalow, so they asked for each and every meal for the suggestions. And they made sure that what he said was followed very well and they did very good job of satisfying our taste. This gave us a very homely experience, which we never expected in a place like this.||||The general stay in Valparai also was very memorable, as the wild life sighting experience was really thrilling. We took the services of a local driver was extremely knowledgeable in all the parts of the hill. His name is Babu. He took us in the night for night safari in the night through the jungle areas.||||Valpari is actually a very small town which is situated right in the jungle area. The leopard sightings are very frequent all around Valpari town. Also the elephants are very frequent visitors. The Indian Gaur also called as bison, is very abundant to see in the night.||||We went for two nights night safari with the driver. He had a powerful torchlight, with the help of which he was scanning the area when he was driving and we spotted a leopard. It was a thrilling experience to see a live leopard walking through the tea plants in the night. Also we saw quite a few numbers of very big Indian Gaurs.||||We just missed sighting the elephant herd which visited the nearby area of the town. We were chasing its trail, but we just missed seeing them in five minutes. But overall the night safari experience was very satisfying and extremely thrilling.||||The guest house itself is located a little bit close to the highway for my taste. You will be able to hear the noise of the traffic to an extent. You don't get the aloof staying feel of other famous guest houses like Wood Briar. Next time I would like to say stay in Wood briar or Parry Agro guesthouse.||||NEPC guesthouse has got some good views all around, and they told us that we will be able to see a herd of Indian Gaurs crossing the hill which is viewable from our guest is itself. But unfortunately during our stay which did not pass. Throughout the days we stayed the mornings where really foggy and added to the surreal experience of Valparai.

The location is excellent with lots of places inside the property to roam around.facilites and luxury inside the building is bare minimum and is starting to show it's age in every nook and corner. Also a bit costly for the price.it is very near to the highway and easly accessable.wild elephant sighting is usual and is one of the highlights.

Its called NEPC TEA GARDENS. Courteous staff, decent rooms, great location, always misty, inhouse cooks to serve good home made food. Ten kms before valparai though, but said to be the peak point of that geography. Don't expect good mobile signal strength.

They will treat as if you are staying there for free of cost. Food will be just reheated to serve you back again and again. Very secluded and unsafe. Completely no signal in phones.||||Definitely not worth to stay with your family.

It's a placid place to stay, they have prepared delicious food for us, we were a group of 16 members stayed in 5 bed room cottage. Building is old but maintained well & Good service
