West Downs - The Heritage Resort

Staying at this heritage hotel was more about surviving the charm than enjoying it. Yes, it's 150 years old--and it feels like it, in both good and bad ways. While the architecture has vintage appeal, the lack of basic amenities really lets the place down. Power supply was unreliable and inconsistent. For a premium-priced property, you'd expect at least stable electricity. Hot water was only available during a very limited time window, which is incredibly inconvenient, especially for travelers on flexible schedules. Rooms had no proper ventilation, making them stuffy and uncomfortable--especially during warmer weather. And to top it off, it's far too expensive for what it offers. You're essentially paying for the history, not the hospitality. The biggest letdown of our stay was the front desk staff. From the moment we arrived, they were dismissive, unhelpful, and surprisingly arrogant. Basic questions were met with eye-rolls or curt responses, and any request felt like we were asking for a favor instead of receiving service we paid for. Hospitality starts at the front desk, and sadly, this place completely missed the mark. No warmth, no courtesy, just attitude. A beautiful property can't make up for bad service. Would not recommend unless there's a serious change in staff training--or staff altogether. Unless major upgrades are made, this place is more suited for a quick photo op than an actual stay.

The food, service and banquet hall was really good, keep it up West downs staff You guys are really amazing Hats off to you to making my son holy communion a grand success that we didnt expect.from West downs marketing manager, mr. Jerome, mr. Mathi and the front offilce executive prashant, was really helpful, and helped us a lot. And service team and arrangement of the hall was really good. 10 out of 10

We had candle light dinner at west downs heritage resort. The experience was lit. From the moment we entered the restaurant they made us feel special. Food was good, service was exceptional from Richard. Definitely recommend.

Nice breakfast and rooms. I came with low expectations, but everything was great. More than I could ask for the price. Paid total INR 10000 for 2 days(Weekend). Rooms do not have private balconies or windows - same can be seen from the official photos. Location is on the highway main road. Do not expect a secluded property or a valley/hill view.

Stay at Westdowns heritage resort was very disappointing . It is not at all worth for the amount what we paid for... Resort is heritage property and rooms have some bad odour. Bathroom/toilet is small and flush won't function properly. Beds are not at clean found all hairs on the bed after informing to house keeping guys changed the bed sheets... No ventilation... due to that child got sick suddenly cold effected to her..Bad experience Rooms are not warm at all and they don't have heaters in the room. For the heaters they charged 950 Rs. per night. Food at an in-house restaurant is too expensive we don't had a option so we ordered food which was totally waste of money...No fresh food chicken had a stinking smell. Complementary breakfast was good..options of choice was less.. Overall it was bad experience and not worthy.

Really good experience. We all family was happy. Spacious banquet hall. Food was really really good. Good service & staffs are polite. Mr. Prasanth has given us best service and assist us well . Overall experience was good

We had wonderful stay at your resort.The ambience was excellent and pleasant atmosphere.Lovely experience.Excellent food & good facility to host an out-side conference for corporate group.Room was clean and equipped with all necessary amenities.Overall experience was good and good service & helpful staff.We enjoyed our time here @westdowns the heritage resort.We really recommended this property for stay. Do not go with the pictures shown in Google, those are old pictures Worst room service, extension not working. The restaurant is not 24/7 working. I paid 10k for one room Definitely not worth it. These room worth only 4k-5k only.
