What is good - Bigger rooms (downstairs) are excellent with good views with all facilities. - Extremely Spacious rooms those. We stayed in the bigger rooms downstairs. - Good servicing. And polite behavior of the employees. We mostly ordered at the room. - Completely quiet place with only natural sounds around. So a great place to forget about the world and just listen to the bird sounds. - We could chill late night in the balcony, sitting and talking with nothing but deep darkness on the other side. - Food price is reasonable. Food was warm. What is maybe not so good - Location perhaps. Slightly on the outer side of Ooty. But for us this was a plus point since this meant the noise of the main areas was away from us. - Slightly unsafe for little kids, since the fencing on the top is incomplete from some sides. - To me the property seemed bigger in the google photos. Those 4-5 rooms at the top are smaller.

Location was good to spend peaceful time. The service was also good. Best part is food prepared freshly on order. It was tasty as well. But only con is room maintenance. The room's balcony needed cleaning which was handled after we checked in. Geyser not functioning properly. Phone not present in rooms. These are some issues which point at maintenance. Apart from that everything was great.

This is a perfect place for a offbeat stay closer to nature if you dont plan to do anything but just spend quality time with family. Food served is also good. They offer a good complementary breakfast spread. Improvements: We had a mouse enter the bathroom in RH5 which was not very pleasant. The service is decent although sometime you have to remind multiple times for the same thing. Overall highly recommended

A very badly maintained, but wonderfully located property. Its location is wonderful, overlooking the Masinagudi area and the forest surrounding the ghat section. Rooms: Rooms are very very basic, small and very minimal (especially the row cottages). The cottages are placed in such a badly designed manner, because no importance is given to the view. Tall bamboo plants planted in the front of balcony is blocking the view of valley. Such a un-thoughtful design. Service : Young non-passionate crowd of people left to maintain the property on their own terms. No basic customer service. We had to remind twice to provide us drinking water when we arrived. Overall, you can choose this resort only if you focus on the view and zero service. Don't choose the row cottages on the top, its a waste.

Absolutely loved our stay at Hill View Resort! The location is breathtaking, with panoramic views of the mountains and valleys. The staff was courteous and always ready to help. Our room had a private balcony, and waking up to the sunrise over the hills was magical. The food was freshly prepared. Would visit again!"

Hill View Resort exceeded our expectations! The views from our balcony were mesmerizing, overlooking lush green valleys and snow-capped peaks. The staff was extremely hospitable, and the rooms were clean and well-maintained. The food was delicious, with a variety of local and continental options. Perfect for a peaceful getaway. Highly recommended!

Location is good and serene by nature. Definitely should visit once to get the early morning view of the nature from one's bed. Food is good with variety of options and nothing great to write about it. However the team needs to maintain the property better. Broken door hinges, rusted balcony rails, sticky floors, excess fly and insects everywhere etc. doesn't justify the price paid. There is a TV but no cable connection. Had to wait for hours to get a bathing towel. And importantly, the approach road is very slippery for motorcycles. Got an excuse that it's govt road and they try their best to keep it useful. Good ratings are definitely for the location only.

Pathetic rooms, unhygienic..full of bugs and giant spiders. When you call staff to get rid of them..they just don't come. They call themselves 4 star hotel but no intercom, no properly sealed rooms, and all non working electricals. They provide No kettle no glasses. They mention that they are in ooty but they are 15km from ooty
