The Tamarillo

We had a lovely stay here at the Tamarillo. The staff really puts customers first, so it's a very good experience. Breakfast was good, dinner as well. They specialised the breakfast for us to be more continental which was appreciated. Only tip was for us maybe make the viewpoint section more a relax area with pillows and comfy chairs. Now it's more a bar setting which is not easy to sit an entire afternoon. Very easy to get a taxi to drive us around and bring us to next destination as well. They accepted also credit card as payment which was a surprise to us. Campfire was nice, view is excellent!

Wonderful stay!! Cannot think of any more improvements... it's a perfect cozy place for family and near to the city market and main viewpoints. The owner of the place is very friendly and shares many tips and suggestions. Appu is also very prompt in providing great service. They also provide cabs for intra-city travel. Overall a wonderful stay!

BE CAREFUL FAMILY !! I booked the room for family and contact ed a lady manager she spoke nicely but gave wrong direction map and we reached at wrong place where car cannot be driven. Again I called the lady manager and she gave a drivers number. I called the driver two three times then he picked and told to come to main road. The man was very suspicious and I felt like the place was not good for family. We waited for him an hour to meet because we could not reach at the place. The persons character was suspicious. When he came by car we followed him to the resort and the route was very narrow and tough. Finally we reached there there was no proper car parking place. I asked him a proper place to park my car properly and he neglected the request and showed me the deep curvy place to park car. Another man showed other place to park car that was good where I request to park the car but the care taker Driver neglected and behaved suspiciously. I thought they where hiding something or something phishy.. I called the lady manager she told to call the driver only. I felt like no one is responsible for the property. I didn't get a proper assistance from the staff and It was night time with family ..I felt something wrong suddenly I drive backwards and returned from there and cancelled the booking even in the midst of the night. Go with your full responsibility and be very careful if you bring family. I do not suggest guys...

The property is located in beautiful surroundings, quiet, secluded yet not too far away from the main town. The rooms and the ambience around it with the flowers and plants makes it a ideal stay to connect with nature. The breakfast was amazing and the staff very courteous, Special shout out to Appu one of the caretakers. Highly recommend the place for people who wish to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Our stay at Tamarillo was truly delightful. The view from the property was breathtaking, and the staff were extremely warm, friendly, and attentive. The ambience throughout was peaceful and inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway amidst beautiful surroundings.

The location is about 4-5 kms from the ooty bus stand but it is worth the drive. The location is calm and peaceful, service is very good and they arrange sight seeing vehicles as well based on requirements. I had booked this place for my parents travelling from Bangalore and i was very much relaxed as i didn't really need to manage everything remotely. The back office rep Smitha managed everything end to end for me and i didn't have to worry about anything as such. You can rest assured knowing this place and the people are going to make sure the guest has a great time and are safe. They are very transparent about the costing of the services and no additional or hidden charges. I'd Recommend this place for sure. This is going to be my go to place for a stay in ooty

I am a frequent traveller and I have stayed in so many hotels but I have never seen such poor administration. 1. There is no reception 2. Manager is operating from remote. 3. Nothing in documents everything oral contracts 4. Do not ever trust the Manager's word she can manipulate her word's when u get into her trap. 5. One of the worst administration and management experience of my life. 6. No professionalism in management and administration. 7. Visit with your transport or else this manager will empty your pocket easily with her false claims and traps. 8. On site staffs are too good. 9. Dinner served gave us dysentery 10. Breakfast was good, they waived off all our beverages bills don't know why but thank you for this gesture. Pros: Onsite staffs are too good and friendly. They are very nice people. View is awesome from the hotel. Rooms were clean and washroom is spacious and clean.

The stay was pleasant. This property does have scenic beauty and views. But I would recommend they provide a smart TV instead because only the local language was playing and we couldn't watch anything. The food was okay but do not expect too much and the cost is slightly high. Overall it is a good experience.
