OYO La Flora Ooty

Very disappointing and frustrating experience I had with La Flora Ooty property. The quality of the room in reality is totally opposite than the photos posted on the internet during booking. Rooms are shabby and stinky. Check my own photos. My family and kids were very disappointed so as not to ruin our holiday I left property within 1hr of checkin. It was 24th Dec when I checked in La Flora so they charged me for Gala dinner. Since I left property I requested management to return Gala dinner charges however they didn't return it. Think 100 times before you book this property. Very high chances of getting fleeced and cheating. Better to sleep in your own vehicle and use public toilets as those are maintained better than this property.

Pros: 1)I think the place is good for bachelors or travellers who plans to take a room, keep their things and spend most of their time in roaming around Ooty and comeback to room only for sleeping. 2)Their customer support is good. I called their support number to check the booking status and also to get info about checkin timings and their responses were good. 3) Their complementary breakfast is decent 4) car parking space is available 5) Its a calm place 6) Their coffee and tea are good. Cons: (Based on my experience) 1) Felt like the rooms are old and the facilities are basic. In bathroom, geaser is there but it takes very very long time to get hot water. Bathroom windows didn't had proper glass coverings. The TV in the room was a pretty old CRT tv. 2) We stayed for 2days, the room cleaning staff didn't come even once. They deliver the food at the room(if needed) but even if we call them multiple times, nobody come to take back the food plates(lunch plates were not taken back even by night). Due to same reason, we stopped ordering food from there. 3) Hence we went to their restaurant to have dinner and they conveyed that only buffet will be served there.(For any other food, we need to order from the room) What i felt is that buffet dinner doesn't worth for Rs275/- at all.

I stayed in this Hotel from 29 Dec to 1 Jan. This is worst hotel ever I have stayed in my life. Staff is good except 1 Guys Named Vimal. He is not at all qualified to sit on reception of any hotel. Room quality is very poor. In our room geyser was not working initially. and TV was also not working. Room service of this hotel is worthless. They Say Breakfast complimentary and when you will go for breakfast you will get only dirty plats and glasses, and a namesake breakfast with idly and sambar. If you Order something in your room. they just forget it you only need to remind them to bring the food. I ordered dinner around 7 p.m I got the dinner at 8.30 p.m after multiple follow ups. I would recommend please don't go to this hotel ever. This Hotel organized new party and they were charging 500 bucks for each person. They told many things in the menu which was suppose to be there for dinner. we booked for 7 people. But what we got cold sambar cold rice. uncooked roties and that's it. If you want to stay in ooty peacefully and enjoy your trip Please don't ever visit this resort. It is wastage of your money. thanks

Good property to stay. Rooms are quite large,but cleanliness should be improved. Bedsheets and toilet was quite disappointing. They provide tap water instead of packed water bottle which is not satisfactory, Although the room service was good and fast, especially s manikaran, provides fast room service. Location of the resort is beautiful.

The property is at a nice location amidst greenery and hills. The hotel staff was good (not the best). The rooms need renovation, rooms feel a bit dated. The ground floor rooms feels dark and grungy types. The upper floors are nice and airy. If they renovate the rooms and furniture this will be a great stay.

The resort is very beautiful out side. Great view from the room. Food quality is best and reasonable price. Only drawback we faced is contacting room service, when i tried to ask them they said its due to rain at night the line got disconnected. But apart for this the room is so clean and tidy (perfect) thanks to Mrs.Amudha for room service. We enjoyed a lot in this resort scenery best in locatiom for couples and nature lovers. The Receptionist is good and kind.

Not at all worth the price. Rooms walls are Whirlpool of water. Only two heaters available here, that too 300 per night. If you're lucky, you may get one. Its not very nice and warm heater. Looks like 5 years old. Geaser takes 30 mins to heat the water in the morning for each person to take bath. So be prepared to be late. Morning breakfast is terrific. They can't serve a group of 30 people sitting together in their mess. Always people have to be there in queues waiting for paranthas, puris or idli, and even bows and spoons. Did I mention tea and coffee would be there but no cups. Unlike the name they added, its not a resort in any way. Reception staff is rude. Food for dinner was costly with no taste and horrible service. After 5 to 6 calls, they serve you as if they did some favor and ask for money just there before having the food even. Phone provided in the room was awesome. I called and when someone picks, they could not hear me. I complained to reception going all the way 4 times to get it changed finally. They are earning well. So they don't bother for hospitality for the guests. Again next day we ordered some snacks. And after waiting and calling room service like 10 times, we did not get the order. We informed to cancel the order and decided to go out as it was already dinner time, wasting 1 hour waiting for simple order. After having dinner, when we came back to the room and slept, the service guy knocked the door while we and the kid was slept to deliver the snacks. We asked him that we cancelled the order as we waited for an hour and it is no time to have snacks now, but he was forcing the order and bill on us. Horrible experience. Better read some reviews before booking. It was in high demand when we booked and there are less options if you book late within 30 days of stay. So Keep in mind to book 30+ days early. I recommend Paradise perfect in Ooty than anything else. Do like if you find it helpful. Thumbs up.

I personally did not have an ideal experience here. This review is based on my experience here. Decent location. Food is okay. No WiFi in rooms. The house keeping and room service are very slow and do not respond at times. Required Electric appliances like geysers did not work. The ventilation to rooms is not ideally suited to weather in Ooty. Mosquitoes and flies inside the room. No way a three star standard resort.
