I have been coming here for almost 2 decades now, and this place has retained its old world charm and quality during every single visit. Heritage rooms with a great view of Ooty valley, discrete and efficient service and absolutely delectable food. One of those rare British era properties which have been able to retain its charm over centuries. Even if you are unable to get a room here, do consider to visit for the amazing food.

Kings Cliff, Ooty - A Tale of Two Halves! Our recent vacation with friends at Kings Cliff in Ooty presented a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, the hotel boasts a truly beautiful location and offers a tranquil atmosphere around. We were also incredibly impressed by the friendly and attentive staff who consistently went out of their way to assist us especially Shanti from the housekeeping department. Furthermore, the food was a definite highlight - each meal was delicious and well-prepared, leaving us thoroughly satisfied. However, our experience was unfortunately marred by the rooms we were allocated. Situated adjacent to the kitchen, we were subjected to a significant amount of noise throughout the day and evening. This constant disturbance made it impossible to truly relax or get a good night's sleep, which is a fundamental aspect of any vacation. While we were initially inclined to recommend Kings Cliff based on the exceptional food and wonderful staff, the issue with the room noise is a significant drawback. Ultimately, if a peaceful and restful stay is a priority, potential guests should specifically request rooms away from the kitchen area. It's a shame that this issue detracted from what could have been a perfect getaway. For now, we leave with fond memories of the food and staff, but disappointment regarding the lack of tranquility in our accommodation.

One of the best stays I had... Amazing and well maintained property, it was completely green and with nicely bloomed flowers all over the property, in the lawn, around the various types of rooms (bunglow, club room, vista rooms) during May which is usually peak summer in India! Superb rooms, 5 stars for the quality of rooms, sober interiors & the cleanest bathrooms with amazing quality interiors (Kohler & Jaguar accessories in the bathrooms)..|Breakfast is good with various options and amazing view.|Restaurant (Earl's Secret) is an amazing vintage kind of place with born fire and the wooden theme, look & info about the king and their guests of the vintage times.. It is costly but the feel n quality nullifies the cost factor easily..|We stayed in club rooms, vista room and also in Deluxe Bungalow and I loved all three!!|Staff is really nice, cooperative, prompt & the service is just amazing.|Weather is superb, even in May the lowest was 11 degrees and we required heater which was provided immediately upon request.. |Worth the stay - I would recommend trying Deluxe Bungalow.

King's Cliff is a beautiful medieval -style hotel tucked away in the serene hills of Ooty. The location is peaceful with stunning valley views--perfect for a quiet escape. Our room was cozy, clean, and had a lovely vintage charm. The fireplace was a nice touch on chilly nights.||The staff were courteous and attentive, and the food at the on-site restaurant was delicious, especially the South Indian breakfast. It's a bit away from the town center, so it's ideal for those looking to relax and unwind in nature.

Perfect getaway place with very cozy cottage rooms. Loved every bit of the stay here. Hospitality is amazing. Glad we were assisted by Shekhar for our stay. Helped a lot with everything ! Loved clicking images of your property ! Hope you like them !!

Excellent place to spend your holidays. Rooms are of antique style which reminds us of British era and they've maintained it well with modern features. The ambience is great with cold weather and serene views. The restaurant along with this property is a must try, which is named as Earl's secret.

Planning a trip to ooty? King's cliff has everything thay you'd want to do in ooty. Best food in the town, located on top of the hill so it has the best view. We've got a balcony room which has a great view too. They do have bird watching and a trek planned by the staff every morning accompanied by two naturalists who'd show us different birds and take us to show the beauty around. Special shoutout to incredible food there. Overall kingscliff is 10/10 highly recommend this place.
