Great location with free access to Karnataka horticulture garden below. Property spread over a large area with different types of rooms available according to budget. But the restaurant service is very poor. Food quality is good and prices are reasonable. However, the hotel suffers from a serious lack of staff which shows during service at the restaurant and luggage transfer.

The hotel offers a stunning view and a serene location, perfect for relaxation. However, the food is average, and South Indian dishes are not available during lunch or dinner. On the first day, I was assigned a room near the reception, which lacked privacy. I could hear outdoor conversations, and others could likely hear me as well. Thankfully, I was moved to a different room the next day. If you plan to spend most of your time exploring Ooty, staying at this hotel might not be worth it, as you won't fully enjoy its ambiance and views. I feel its slightly expensive for this basic standard room.
Pro: The hotel offers a good view. Cons: overpriced for the service, bad state of rooms and dont even provide basic toiletries. Bedsheets torn. Not to mention the not so welcoming receptionist
The place is located along with the Karnataka government owned Vitoria Garden spread across many acres of land. With varying landscapes and beautifully designed garden. Imagine waking up to these views which were amazing. They also have a restaurant inside the property which serves tasty hot food with hot water all the time. The property also has a really long hanging bridge which is just so beautiful. If you are someone visiting Ooty, it's worth staying in this place. Rooms are old because this is housed in an heritage old building but well maintained and really spacious and good.
It's a great hotel for a budget-friendly stay. I opted for a premium room with garden view with complimentary breakfast. Pros: The hotel is situated in a beautiful location and has its own garden, which is worth spending an entire day in. The staff's hospitality is excellent. The hotel has its own restaurant that serves decent food. Rooms and washrooms are spacious and moderately well maintained. Cons: The initial premium room I received was very spacious but located right next to the reception, making it unsuitable for couples due to a lack of privacy. Conversations from the reception could be heard inside the room and vice versa. However, when I raised my concern, the staff changed my room the next day. If you're booking a premium category room, be mindful of its location. I booked a "Premium Room with Garden View", which costs slightly more. However, just before the garden, there is a pathway leading to the restaurant, so keeping the curtains open isn't always an option due to privacy concerns. People walking along the path can easily see inside the room. No coffee or tea tray is provided, even in premium rooms. Paying around 3,500 and not having this basic amenity doesn't make sense. Room food service is limited--only starters and beverages are delivered, while the main course is served exclusively in the restaurant. That's understandable, but the food delivered to the room was cold. No plug points near the electric kettle tray, making it inconvenient. The personal locker in the wardrobe didn't work. Despite a few drawbacks, it's a good choice for those looking for a scenic and budget-friendly stay.
One of the best hotels in ooty to stay again and again .. They have excellent garden , food is very nice & homely. Rooms are big and hot water is available thru out. Reception services are good .
It's okay. The access to horticultural garden inside is the highlight of this property. There are indoor games as well. I booked standard room last minute.. and it as expected is very basic, no towel provided for child even after requesting personally at the reception. Breakfast should be improved. Other a la carte items should also improve in taste. No toiletries provided, again as expected from the standard room experience. Stay here mainly to experience the garden and the view.
Don't expect anything luxury in the resort as it is old construction maintained by government but rooms are very spacious washroom was well maintained. It has a very beautiful and spacious park about 20 acres where kids can enjoy a lot. Food is so good with reasonable prices only starters are served to rooms and for main course need to have in restaurant itself. Service is excellent even they are not accepting any tips. Overall it's a decent stay had a good time with family.
