Overall, this hotel is an excellent hotel to stay. If you get an amazing city view, the view from the balcony is fantastic, including the hills and cityscape. I am summarising the review into sections. I have stayed here for three nights and explored most things. Reachability and Parking: This hotel is off the main road, Coimbatore-Ooty Highway. Some parking is available for two-wheelers and even four-wheelers in the covered space and in front of the hotel. The location of the hotel is excellent and can be easily found. It's on a steep road; hence, parking the vehicle might be complex. Staff Behaviour: The reception staff was very polite and helpful; they carried our luggage. They helped us in all the way they could and gave us the dental kits and soaps when we asked. Plates were also provided to us for the food we ordered from outside. It was raining one night, and they provided us with the umbrellas we requested. Rooms: The rooms were fantastic, and everything was there, including the study table for related office work and also a sofa. The rooms did not have carpets or floor mats; hence, they were always dusty. The windows are also huge, and there is a lovely balcony to sit on, which feels very nice. Our room was on the 2nd floor, and we got the front view room. The bathroom did not have a bathtub and had separate partitions for the shower and the commode. The bathrooms and rooms were clean and well-maintained. The only issue is that there is no 24-hour hot water available; it is only available in the mornings; other times, you must get it from a standard geyser in the corridor. Amenities: There are no amenities in the hotel, and there is no restaurant. The worst part is that no filter/aqua guard fills the drinking water. They give the drinking water for free, but we were unsure if there was a filter. When we asked, they could also not show us the filter from where they gave us the water. Look, Feel and Cleanliness: The hotel looks nice, as it has a well-maintained commonplace. The hotel is maintained clean all the time. You will feel good staying at the hotel. I am reducing the star for not having a proper drinking water supply; otherwise, this is a perfect hotel to stay at Ooty at a reasonable price.

**Hotel Divi Heritage Review (12th - 18th November 2024)** Our family of five stayed at Hotel Divi Heritage during our recent trip, and we had a pleasant experience overall. Here's an honest review of our stay: ### **Room and Amenities** The room view was fantastic, offering a calming backdrop for our family vacation. Room service was exceptional, with Vinod being particularly helpful and courteous. He readily provided extra blankets, pillows, and a kettle upon request and ensured the room and bathroom were cleaned whenever we asked. While this isn't a star-rated hotel, they did an excellent job of covering the basics, such as changing bedsheets, blankets, and room cleaning. ### **Hot Water and Electrical Issues** Hot water was available 24/7, thanks to the geyser they kept running for us. However, once the bucket was filled, it took about 15-20 minutes for the water to reheat. While the TV worked fine, only two power sockets were functional--one by the bed and one next to the mirror. The bathroom light blinked occasionally but was manageable. These minor maintenance issues could be improved to enhance guest comfort. ### **Food and Accessibility** The hotel's location near Charing Cross Road was very convenient. Vinod went out of his way to arrange food when needed, and the allowance of outside food from platforms like Zomato and Swiggy was a huge plus after long sightseeing days. ### **Ambiance and Surroundings** There is a club next to the hotel, and while the music in the evenings was noticeable, it wasn't loud enough to disturb us with the room door closed. Fortunately, the noise stopped around 10 PM, so it didn't affect our sleep. ### **Staff and Management** Vinod's politeness and dedication stood out, even though we noticed he had been drinking on one occasion. The owner, Tanzeem, seemed a bit abrupt in communication, but this might just be his natural tone rather than intentional rudeness. ### **Final Thoughts** If you're looking for a budget-friendly hotel near Charing Cross with a great view, Hotel Divi Heritage is a good option. For the price, the service was commendable, and the location is convenient. ### **Suggestions for Improvement (@Owner Tanzeem)** To further enhance the property's standards: - Fix the bathroom's blinking light. - Repair the broken and loose power sockets. - Improve mattress quality. - Provide complimentary tea and coffee sachets for guests. With these minor upgrades, this hotel could offer an even better experience for its guests.

I booked a room at Divi Heritage through Agoda for two days. However, when I arrived there with my family, they refused to give us a room, stating that they were not accepting bookings made online. Despite showing them all the booking confirmations, they still did not respond positively. Subsequently, I called Agoda's customer care to report the issue, but there was no resolution. After a few minutes, the receptionist asked for three times the booked amount to allocate a room. Since I didn't want to support this practice, I declined and found a room at a nearby hotel at a much lower cost compared to Divi Heritage. So, I advise against booking rooms at Divi Heritage Inn online or through any other means.

Worst stay ever. Guys please don't book this hotel if u r planning for a family stay in Ooty. Start from the receptionist. Person is very rude and not at all a coorporative i asked for a kettle and they told if u don't want leave the hotel. Wifi is only available in the corridor no wifi available inside the rooms. Bedsheets / Blankets are not washed for a along and hairs and dust are found in the bedsheet. We cannot even get a hot water / tea from here. Cleanliness is so so poor that seems like staying in a second class lodge.

Rooms are ok but the most unfortunate thing about them is that they provide hot water in washrooms only in mornings ...These days Ooty is so polluted & dusty that at the end of outings , we really need a short bath. Last week of January it was damn cold in the evenings and it was so difficult to even do a facewash in icecold water or to wash after toilet. I request them to provide hot water for atleast 1 hour in evenings too...

Not recommended at all. Its Ooty - so obviously it will be very cold. But no extra blankets were provided after asking. No Tea were served. Its noisy, lot of music noise till late night, I guess due to some club. Most Importantly - NO HOT Water 24x7, Hot water will come only in morning. Not a separate Water geyser in room, its common - used by other rooms too. NO AC in room, to warm/heat up the room. Its very expensive, but not worth it. I paid 4k per night, and i understood in that range I can get lot better in Ooty.

Worst experience with Hotel. Not recommended at all. I recently had 3 night stay here in Classic Superior with balcony. My observation are 1. No WiFi range in the room. WiFi is only at reception counter. 2. Rooms not cleaned properly. Lot of dust at window sill. 3. The parking area was quite congested. 4. Intercom not working. Every time you have to call from your mobile phone. 5. Hot water only available in the morning from 7 to 10. 6. It is not 3 Star Hotel. This hotel is on narrow street roads in crowded area. It's like a Lodge with narrow passage to rooms. 7. I have taken Breakfast & dinner here but, I would not recommend ordering food from the hotel's menu. Overall the rooms Tariff is very costly as compared to the facilities and ambiance of the hotel. If you are coming by own car or taxi then you will get more better options of 3 star properties at lesser price.
