Absolutely Horrible Stay - Avoid at All Costs This was hands down the worst resort experience we've ever had. From the moment we checked in, it was a downhill ride. The washrooms were full of black mold, and the linens and bath towels stank terribly (the excuse was "Ooty moisture, sir"). Hot water in the morning? You'll need sheer luck. The electric kettle had a strange, off-putting smell--didn't even dare to use it. The room screamed unhygienic. We felt like sanitizing ourselves just from being in there. Thankfully, we brought our own toiletries, because we actually saw staff refilling the small bottles with cheap products. The bath towels even had very big stains! There was a tiny, outdated 30-inch TV from two decades ago, no rug in the room, and the spring mattress was either 20 years old or picked up second-hand. We woke up sore every single morning. It was clear they were cutting corners at every possible opportunity. Despite staying for 3 nights over a long weekend, there was no bonfire, even though it was advertised. We were told multiple stories--only one bonfire allowed per week in Ooty, wood was wet, a nearby party was happening--none of which made sense. It was supposed to happen Saturday, then got pushed with new excuses every time we asked. Just more proof they weren't interested in delivering what they promised. The breakfast? Bread already toasted into cardboard, barely edible. And being vegetarian, the buffet was an absolute joke--Rs. 600 for one of the worst meals I've ever had. If you're planning to stay here, here's a checklist: * Bring your own linens * Your own bath and hand towels * Your own toiletries * And definitely plan to eat elsewhere In short: they cut corners everywhere, hygiene is appalling, service is full of excuses, and food is a disaster. Avoid this place--you'll thank yourself later. Note : They charge 5% extra for all credit card transactions.

The resort area is well maintained. The food quality is above average but the choice is limited. There is a recreation hall which has TT tables, carrom, foosball tables. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious but are not maintained over time. My room had a broken almirah door, broken bathroom drawers, broken cloth hooks in the bathroom, missing strainer on the wash basin. The bathroom had a foul smell coming from the washbasin drain. Location wise it is a bit far away from the regularly populated area. The entry road (exit from public road) needs maintenance as it gets difficult to drive the car on the steep slope full of loose gravels.

Good service by staff, food quality was good as well. Good scenic location.||Unfortunately, I picked up a bed bug bites all over my legs and arms. Did not have any bites prior to going to bed and woke up with full coverage. Notified manager of the issue and they did not take ownership of the matter. Their claim: "Ooty is too cold to have bed bugs or mosquitos". False, as the evening before I noticed mosquitos in town.||Being aware of this, if you still decide to check-in at this facility, I recommend a full inspection of the bed and couch prior to accepting the room. Strip the bed down and inspect for evidence of dead bugs or blood stains. I wish I had done the same prior to checking into this facility.||The facility is rated a 3 star. I stayed at 8 other 3 star properties in Southern India.. this is definitely at the lower end.. a possible 2 star or a 3 minus.

Our experience at the DECCAN PARK, OTTY was truly disappointing. The room was clearly not cleaned properly, with stained carpets and dust everywhere. The bathroom was also in disrepair.The staff were unhelpful and seemed indifferent to our concerns. Additionally, the air conditioning barely worked, making the room unbearably hot and stuffy. We also found the breakfast buffet to be mediocre, with a limited selection of stale food.We ask them for curd for child they refuse to give such a small quantity of curd for child also. Overall, the DECAN PARK, OTTY was a poor value for the price, and we would not recommend it to anyone." The staff is terrible. Specially the front watchman were worst and indifferent. They are not friendly. When we ask him to talk politely he misbehave with us for car parking. We haven't seen such a worst at any other hotel. They have no consideration about their guests.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Deccan Park Resort, west mere, Ooty, and I can confidently say it was one of the most delightful experiences I've had at a hill station resort. The location is absolutely stunning, surrounded by breathtaking views and serene natural beauty. It's the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The accommodations were spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed to provide maximum comfort and relaxation. What stood out the most was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always went the extra mile to make sure I had everything I needed. Whether it was the prompt room service, helpful guidance about local attractions, or the warm smiles that greeted me at every turn, their hospitality was second to none. Every detail, from the beautifully maintained property to the delicious food, was handled with care and professionalism. I left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and eager to return. If you're looking for a place to unwind and enjoy top-notch service amidst a tranquil setting, I wholeheartedly recommend Deccan Park. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay so special! Not to mention, every penny spent, was worth more.

Best resort for staying family with kids nd also enjoyable kids playing area, fire camp , sports activities. Staff service is good .

Location of resort is great, room are good but lighting are very low, service is very good, food are expensive will average quality but completely vegetarian. Overall nice place
