Cool Spot Cottage

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with this hotel and the person with whom we spoke to for reservation (Nagarajan) was absolutely unacceptable. We did the booking directly talking to the above mentioned person , initially he was so good and we did the advance payment also.When we reached the property the above mentioned person wasn't present there somebody else showed us the room which was not the same as shown in the picture before , the room was filthy and with foul odour , when we raised the concern , they were dismissive and rude saying that if you don't like the room you can cancel the reservation the person with whom we did the booking was not even ready to listen to my concern and was extremely rude without even thinking and talking about the payment which we did he was very arrogant stating that why he should listen to me and I should listen to him it seems that was the way he spoke to me , hearing this I didn't even utter a word and disconnected the call.. We immediately left the property without asking anything about our advance payment thinking that let him be rich with that portion of amount.. My request and suggestion to each one of you whoever is looking for this property please think thousand times before getting trapped in this scam ,, don't do any advance payment ,better I would suggest that don't book any property prior rather go to the place you will get ample number of good properties .. Especially not this Cool spot one it's a scam and the person is a cheat ..

Terrible Experience - Avoid This Place! I had an extremely disappointing experience at Cool Spot Cottage in Ooty. Despite making an advance booking, when I arrived at midnight, the owner refused to provide the room, stating that all were occupied. He had given my reserved room to someone else without any prior notice. To make things worse, he was very rude and unapologetic, simply saying he would refund the advance money, without offering any alternative solution or assistance. Being stranded at midnight with no place to stay was a terrible experience. I strongly do not recommend this place to anyone. The management is highly unprofessional and unreliable. Avoid this cottage to save yourself from unnecessary stress and inconvenience.

Love the Rooms very clean,budget friendly and Service from the staff saravan he is too good, and especially best option for couples. Had stayed only for two days there, and enjoyed. It was a completely quite atmosphere there. Very good place to stay with scenic view of beautiful Ooty. Rooms were clean, tidy and spacious and that's too in very budget friendly rates. Hotel is very different from the picture shared by the owner. We asked for private kitchen with utensils, He said they have. But Kitchen is not at all private. It is their staff kitchen which I used with no option left. There is no pressure cooker, plates, spoons ... No Basic utensils . Only gas cylinder with a stove and a steel vessels and a souc pan for tea was available. Even no drinking and cooking water available. RO was installed in kitchen but not in working condition. You have to use tap water for cooking or buy it from your own expenses from outside. Even rooms were not in good condition. No tissue paper, no proper drinking water available. When I asked he started yelling and gave a number of reasons. He said we provide only jug water , no water bottles as plastic is banned. As RO is not working then from where he will be giving us the drinking water? Obviously from tap water. Finally for everything he said, " madam you saw our kitchen and room then only you decided to stay" .. . I paid for two days in advance with a Private kitchen... But that time he didn't tell me that he was not going to provide even the minimal things..... Think before you stay here...
