We recently stayed at Hotel Sonia Mahi Inn in Kanyakumari for one night in Quadruple room and here's our experience: Positives - Impeccable Cleanliness: Rooms were spotless, and the staff ensured everything was well-maintained, including devices like AC, geysers, fans, and TVs. - Comfortable Stay: The room was spacious, with comfortable beds that guaranteed a peaceful sleep. The bedspreads, blankets, towels, and toiletries were neat and hygienic. - Amenities: Hot water was available throughout our stay, and the parking facilities were convenient. - Family-Friendly: The hotel offered a stay option for our driver, which was a thoughtful touch. The room could comfortably accommodate 5-7 people, making it ideal for families. Areas for Improvement - Night Lamps: It would have been great if night lamps were provided in the room for added convenience. - Washroom Window: Installing a mesh in the washroom window would help prevent insects from entering, especially in the evenings. Overall Experience "Despite a couple of minor areas for improvement, our stay at Hotel Sonia Mahi Inn was very comfortable and enjoyable. The staff was supportive, and the hotel's amenities made our stay hassle-free. I would highly recommend this hotel to families with elders and kids. It's an excellent choice for those looking for a peaceful and convenient stay in Kanyakumari."

I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience during my recent visit to Hotel Sonia Mahi. I had booked two deluxe rooms with a total occupancy of 8 people, and I had even confirmed the booking details with the receptionist in advance to avoid any last-minute issues. Despite this, things started going wrong the moment we arrived. We reached the hotel on time at 11:00 AM, as per the check-in schedule. However, the receptionist informed us that the previous guests had not yet vacated the room, and we were asked to wait for one hour. We patiently waited in the lobby, assuming it was a minor delay. But unfortunately, the wait stretched to over two hours, with no proper communication or update from the hotel staff. After this long wait, the staff finally cleaned the rooms, but to our surprise, they told us that only standard (normal) rooms were available, not the deluxe rooms we had originally booked and paid for. To make matters worse, they tried to convince us to accept the downgrade by giving unconvincing and silly excuses, which felt highly unprofessional. Overall, it was a very poorly managed experience, and the lack of honesty, coordination, and customer service was disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel based on this experience.

If you are planning to visit Kanyakumari. Best stay. Owner is very friendly. Room was very clean. It is a new property. Enjoyed the stay here with my friends. One suggestion: Please don't use that chemical liquid to clean floor. The fragrance is very heavy and causes headache. Please change to Dettol or lizol.
