Royal Lodge Nagercoil

Extremely Disappointing Experience I've stayed in many lodges during my travels, but this one was the worst. They have a weird policy where they only provide bed sheets to guests who book deluxe rooms. If you book a normal room, they treat you like a second-class citizen. I usually stay within a budget of 500-600 and have had decent experiences. But this lodge was a disaster. The room was infested with mosquitoes and bed bugs, and I had to spend two days suffering from bites. Normally, I adjust to the limitations of a place and move on. But this lodge gave me such a bad experience that I'm compelled to share it. They caused me so much mental distress that I'm still fuming. It was absolutely terrible.

Stayed for a few hours as our train was in the evening. The booking had mentioned air conditioning and we booked a kings room. But was alloted a normal non-ac room. When asked, they said Airconditioned room have windows for air condition and rooms with AC should be there in room type while booking. very pathetic policy and very eager to exploit the customers. expecially air conditioning and AC. rooms in ground floor are clean. they should clearly mentioned the queen and king room are non-ac.

Budget travellers and backpackers note this lodge, basically I prefer hostels or home stays but here the best, neat and clean rooms for affordable price is the best deal and staff in booking helped me a lot , no doubt try it

Worst experience ever.I have booked 3 rooms and paid an advance amount also. But when I reached the hotel the rooms they showed were not at all clean and had a very bad smell. and through booking. com. They did not even return our advance amount.

I stayed in this room for 4 hours just to get some quick rest before on my way to trivandrum. I got the room on the 1 st floor it is quite old room try to get rooms on the ground floor which is new . To say about cons is that at the day I went they where doing some renovations in the same building so it was so noisy as I was not able to take rest which I very much in need also for hourly stay they tends to get one full day tariff .Other than that they provide affordable accommodation with free drinking water

Loved staying here mostly because of the hospitality. Rooms are decent for a lodge and we only stayed here for the afternoon as our bus was in the evening. The room (+attached washroom) was very clean. The location is just on the main road and you can reach here by bus easily. The bus stops in front of this lodge. Then the manager was very helpful. He went out of his way to drop us till the bus stop when we were not getting a bus and were getting late. He suggested a few places to visit in and nearby Nagercoil. Felt welcomed and safe.

The lodge was located at the main location. Ground floor got decent newer rooms and first floor with average older rooms with little price difference overall comfortable stay.
