VPN Hotel

Excellent hotel. Service is very nice. Everything works. There is 24 hours hot water. They give you towel and soap. There is a restaurant on the ground floor. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the Railway station. The owner is friendly and can assist you in your travels. You can pay by Google Pay. I paid 800 for a room in February 2025.

In order to catch the new ferry boat connection India - Sri Lanka I had to stay 2 nights. Rats in the lobby, no internet in the rooms. Run down. Stay away. Staff is nice though.Location good, 150 Rupees with Rickshaw to harbour in daytime,||FERRY TO SRI LANKA : Great choice to get there. However, check on wind strength before. 83 passengers can go on board, brand new ship....go upstairs to the ROYALE seats, there the staff offs the disturbing TV screen.

The Room is neat and clean,AC was working well.|The hotel is conveniently located, closer to Nagappattinam Railway Station , and popular Temples.otherwise it is an average facility. limited availability of lodging within the town as a whole.

This is a very normal hotel. Since Nagapattinam is not having many choices this is Ok. Don't expect city standards otherwise will be disappointed. Since Velankanni is very near better hotels seems located there. Positive: Has lift Near Railway station. Decent cleanliness of rooms. Has a veg restaurant in the ground floor. Negative: Limited heater time. Then switched on upon request. Bathroom have a bit of cockroach issues.

I already used this hotel and this time aldo, no problem for me. Some alterations n retrofitting works were going.on when I stayed this time Ss usual, staff were polite n co-operative. One major retrofit work is, they provide water heaters for alternate rooms,connecting the.other room. I just called reception staff at 4.30 am for hit water, they switched on the heater( water heater operating control with reception staff,to avoid non stop running of heater by guests). I had good hot water bath at 5.00am . They have veg restaurant at ground floor. It is only OK type.

A decent budget hotel in the locality.. You can check in any time.. Prices start from rs. 500 for non ac rooms.. Room was compact neat and tidy with hot water round the clock.. TV was not working.. When complained to reception, they said it ll be fixed but they did not.. Its in prime location and just opposite to railway station and old bus stand.. Chettinad veg restaurant is located in the ground floor which is good and hygienic

we stayed in this facility many times in the past,since we travel often to this town. But we could not find any better hotels in Nagapattinam, eventhough this town is HQ for Nagapttinam District. Pathetric though, due to poor tarvellers and guests, no improvement in hotel industry, on a whole. Mainly because, within 20 km famous Velankannai Basilica attracts huge crowd from all over Indai and abroad and many hotels-small and star types, resorts are all thriving successfully,so none of these facilities bother about Nagapattinam town,where there is no attraction or industries or tourist attraction available. We have to content with available good hotels.||||OK, all said and done. This hotel is opposite to Railway station and near bazar area, make this facility as one of the regular place for us. We stayed here for one night 2 days. Now some repairs and retrofitting of this old hotel is going on. Some water leaking problems is being attended to and some improvement in electrical facilities. One such is, fixing water heaters connecting 2 rooms. So that 2 rooms can get hot water,once heater in on. To safe guard mis use or over use of this, control switch is with reception desk. Whenever one wants hot water, we call reception desk, and they switch on the heater. This way over heating, non stop on of the heater unit can be avoided.||||When we decided to startd next day early morning for temple kumbabishegam, we called reception desk at 4.30 am, and we had hot water bath by 5.00 am. That is really an added advantage now in VPN,Nagapttinam.(they ALSO have VPN at Velankanni).||And just opp to this hotel, AAvin Milk bar starts from 5.00 am, and we had our hot,hot coffee from this unit at 5.10 am,before we start to temple. Hotel staff got our morning coffee from this aavin unit. We have to appreciate both reception desk staff and othr odd job staff for their co-operation and quick action.||||Onr Veg restaurant is functioning at first floor, but that is ONLY OK, nothing to rave about.||||Parking, better forget this word here, because of bazar area lot of load autos, vans,etc always roaming at the day time making it very difficult to park any vehicle, even a cycle. That is one very bad drawback. They had one basement parking earlier,but now it is missing.

Average Stay. No Choice Left. Charged 750 for Non-AC room which is very high considering the Quality and Hygienic of the room. Provided Soap and Towel. Much Suitable for Solo and Business traveler's. I don't think family people will feel comfortable. Chettinad hotel at ground floor. No good hotels near by. One can try food at UMA restaurant at the other end of the market road near by. TV not working though i didn't raise any complaint. Hot Water automatically comes after wasting couple of buckets of cold water, which am not impressed with considering the water scarcity the world is facing. Water keeps leaking from pipes. Felt Bath room and Toilet not Hygienic enough. Near by railway station, other than that i don't feel any advantage.
