Amoor Cottages

Stayed in Amoor cottages during Pongal holidays january 2023. Lot of renovation has happened since 2022. The place is not only to stay but the visitors can also have an integrated farm tour! While I was there, i visited the fish pond, biofloc for fish rearing, kadaknath poultry rearing, native birds, paddy and banana cultivation and indoor oyster mushroom farming. This place is also widely used by local women groups as a training center for integrated farming. It is located in a very green, peaceful rural area. 3 delicious meals per day are included in the tariff. Very pleasant place to come with your children to expose them to nature and animals. Should definetely be visited if you decide to visit South India !

All the things are good except location. It's nearly around 15kms from musiri. But places was pleasent. Service was excellent, especially Elavarasi treat as very well.

Amoor Cottages are located in a beautiful village near a beautiful river. It is quiet place and perfect for relaxing, giving yourself some relief from visiting busy cities. I am not sure if it is wifi now but I had no problem with receiving internet on my kindle when I was there.

To all fellow travellers!||I you wish to understand and know rural India, just try Amoor Cottages , 30 km from Trichy, on Musiri Road.You will be hosted by SEVAI, an NGO specialized in Rural development. ||Location is superb : just next to the Cauvery river.||You will be able to visit SELF HELP GROUPS(women groups organised for micro entreprise and micro credit, you will visit weaving unit, banana fields, vermi compost unit, rural schools .I leant how to make Rangoli.....ect.||Contact the director before going ; Mr Govindaraju : try_sevai@airtelmail.in||It is best to go in a small group of friends.||Bungalows are basic but very quiet and facing banana and rice fields! What a relaxation!

If you wish to enjoy a peaceful stay in the beautiful countryside of Tamil Nadu, Amoor Cottages will provide you a great experience!||This place is a small corner of paradise, both comfortable and typical.||If you want to discover nice social entrepreneurship projects, the NGO SEVAI will let you meet Self Help Groups, that is to say groups of women that have created their own activities thanks to trainings and to micro-credit. In this way, you will be able to see different kinds of craftships (tailoring, organic farming, rice plantation, rangoli making..)||Hope you will love this place as much as I do!

Very good and very nice place to start with the family in the weekend. Every facilities are available in these cottages, so all will definitely enjoy the day. Our children will have a wonderful experience in the place.

Very very nice place to stay in the weekend. It is quite calm and quiet, we can relax the weekend very much enjoyed, with our family and children. It is in the main area, so that we start our site seeing from here. So everyone should have the same experience.
