Tamarind Tree Resort, Achakarai, Masinagudi

If you want to avoid the noisy town and enjoy the nature, this hotel is what you're looking for. You can enjoy many wild animals even from the balcony. The manager is very kind and will help your stay. I was lucky enough to have a drink with the property owner with a glass of rum and a pleasant breeze. It was an amazing evening.

Our stay at Tamarind tree was delightful! The staff are friendly and efficient and always available for any help we required. The food was flavourful and portions ,generous . We absolutely loved the interiors ,tasteful ,spotless and well appointed for a jungle stay . Having our meals on the balcony that is nestled amidst beautiful flowering trees ,the lovely call of peacocks and the playful antics of langurs with a breathtaking view of the Nilgiri hills was just what we needed ! The serenity of the resort was matched only by an awe inspiring safari arranged for us by the resort with the wonderful Mr Solomon Daniel in his gorgeous jeep . We spotted elephants , gaur , plenty of birds and to our utter joy ,a tiger !! Daniel knows the language of the jungle and is a treasure trove of stories and experiences. Thank you Mr Kumar and your team, Manu ,Deepa and others ...can't recommend this place enough ! Stay gold !

We loved it. It is in between a forest and we got a mountain view room. Very good property. Owner is so kind and polite. Food we had at Labdhi resort, foods are delicious and tasty. Overall we had good experience here.

The Tamarind Tree is truly a breath of fresh air. The owner was exceptionally courteous and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The room had a warm, homey feel, and the food was outstanding--authentic, home-cooked meals, with their morning buffet being a highlight. We were thrilled to spot a giant Malabar squirrel, langurs, and deer right outside our room, adding to the charm of this beautiful retreat.

Booked this resort thinking it would be a decent place to stay at but I was surprised to see how it presented us with worth more than what we paid. We had a cottage of our own with a clean, hygienic room and bathroom along wuth a small kitchenette as well. The room was spacious and was facing the lawn where we could see deers right in front of us. All in all, a great stay with a peaceful and serene location and a very kind staff.

Not worth the price, you pay only for room no additional services are offered not even a coffee. If you want to stay away from crowd and if you want to experience staying in the forest then you may consider this... otherwise no

Budget friendly rooms surrounded with forest. It was an amazing experience to stay here. And hospitality was amazing. Rooms: Room was very tidy and well maintained. The view from room was amazing. I will definitely rate 5/5. Location: Location is very good. Major tourist attractions are nearby. I will rate 5/5. Property: Its a very big area with lots of trees. They have a small play area for kids as well. Hospitality: Owner was really nice. He is always talking with a smile on face. He behaves with you like a family member. If you need anything like transport, he will arrange. I will definitely rate 5/5. Food: They don't have in house kitchen. They own another stay area name Labdhi which is around 300m away and you can get food there. Also they can arrange food at your room if you need. I loved the food. It's a homely food at super affordable price. All are veg food I will rate 4/5. Note: The property is surrounded by jungle so you are not allowed to walk after 6:00 p.m. outside property. The property was secured with fence but if you are lucky you might see deers entering the property. Overall I loved it and definitely gonna recommend this place to stay. Happy vacation!! Nice place, you can see monkeys and deers outside your room. The owner Kumar is very prompt and hospitable. Worth it. Good mountain view as well
