River Valley Resort

The location of this resort is just excellent! Wide and spacious. Play area is excellent for kids. But these don't outweighs the downsides. The rooms were filled with all sorts of insects. That was still acceptable as it is inside the jungle. But the cleanliness is way below part. But the insects are so much a problem that the toilet drains get stuck with these insects and don't flush the water properly. The tiles are quite slippery as well. Worst part is the rooms have balconies but don't u dare open the door because the balconies don't have grills! And when asked they say it's a "design" to welcome the monkeys; which is nothing but a menace for the tourists. For families with kids - keeping a balcony door and no grill but direct fall sort of balcony is the biggest safety hazard!! Food was nice. We only had veg dinner. Curd rice was nice. But the second night paneer was dipped in nothing but oil!. Our stay was mixed for us. The location is just great! We even had a deer carcass jist outside the hotel that was hunted by a pack of wild dogs. But the maintainence is just lackadaisical. I would give 1 star overall and 2 more stars only for the location.

Location is good and has got good big property, but the rooms are pathetic. They have less options in each category. The rooms maintenance is very worst, broken locks, broken, bathroom doors, insects from the beds, stinking bedsheets and there is no air conditioning. Food is comparatively okay especially the river Valley rooms Are worst of its kind they have not maintained it properly. When we asked for extra bed, they said it is there and at the end of the day they said it is not there and we had pull the extra bed from the bed and a lot of ants in the bathrooms and even from the beds. There are weird insects and it was a nightmare Despite of many complaints, it was not taken care of

The location is good. But the service is very poor. They are not able to even provide a sealed drinking water bottle. You all may be aware that in Masinagudy no 1 litter bottle is available, one has to use the 5 litre bottle. They received good charges for the room but were unable to provide the packed bottle, instead they filled the RO water in the used bottle and provided it to us. Upon asking they said this is how they have been doing to all the customers. The food is not so good.

Went to River valley last week, Location wise it is one of the best in masinagudi, you could sight deers roaming around the resort, porcupine, peacock and elephant too by chance...

Very beautiful location but rooms aren't maintained well the pictures doesn't match with the current condition of room it's ok for bachelors and men and won't be ok for family Morning breakfast is very sub standard can skip even if it is free It is a little away from the place where you shall get restaurants and supplies only to prefer if travelling by own vehicle

Rooms, pillows, linen and bathrooms were very dirty, commode danced with you everytime you sat on it, but service provided by Dinesh was exceptional so was the food. Very scenic location with lots of birds around us. Morning and evening we had monkey menace so beware. We had taken river view rooms.

We had a wonderful stay at this resort in Masinagudi! The location is absolutely stunning, with a river flowing right next to our room, creating a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. Being situated in the middle of the Mudumalai Reserve Forest, the experience was truly immersive--we could spot deer and other wildlife within the resort itself, which made it feel like a real jungle retreat. Just within five kilometers, we had the chance to see various wild animals, especially elephants, which was an incredible experience. The resort also offered delicious food, and the chef did a fantastic job ensuring every meal was tasty and satisfying. Overall, it was a perfect getaway for nature lovers, with great hospitality, scenic beauty, and a touch of adventure. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Masinagudi!

Not worth for the price. It very old cottage and renovated with only few facilities. There are no amenities available. Not recommended for families and kids. Worst environment and food taste also that much good. Only good thing is a room service. The boys were treated us really well. But for this price we can get very resorts with all the amenities around masinagudi.
