Blue Valley Jungle Resort

I am quite shocked to read way too many negative reviews about Blue Valley Resort. Stayed at this place last week and I had a pleasant experience here. Maybe the recent change in the management has made the difference. It's a simple sort of resort but very rustic and interesting. Sharath, the manager was very helpful and efficient. They had enough number of staff at the restaurant and house keeping. Although, it takes about 30mins for your food to be ready, it was tasting good. The resort is spread across 16 acres and has some very lovely views. For the price point they offer, I think it's a good resort.||||Thank you Sharath and team for making our trip a comfortable one.||||When it comes to Masinagudi, my favorite place would be 1) Jungle Hut and 2) Jungle Retreat. We happen to stay at Blue Valley coz the ones mentioned above weren't available. If you are looking for a budget trip without having to compromise on the standards a lot - Blue Valley is a good option.

Blue Valley Resorts||Located on the main road, this is one of the good resorts around the area. ||Room types : Deluxe cottages, normal cottage and Bunglows||Food : Al carte system, Food tastes good for one or two times, but very costly for the quality ( we tried veg only). If you are staying for more than a day, you may want to look at other places to eat as well.||Price: 3000 for room charge + Food expense||Room tip: if you are traveling with family, ask for room in Deluxe section. Other rooms are good as well, so no issues of you don't find one in Deluxe section (just 3 rooms available for booking). There are rooms which are interconnected, ask for them if you are traveling in group.||Staff is responsive. Service is good. Due to major confusion on resort end, we were asked to vacate the cottage rooms(2&3) and we were asked to move to Deluxe cottages on day 2. The way the issue was handled was not professional enough. ||Room condition: Room 2&3 was clean and tidy, intercom in room was not working (repaired later). Flush in bathroom was not functioning well. View from room is okay, nothing great to mention about. No AC, no TV in rooms. There are TV in Deluxe cottages.||Cellular service: Except for BSNL and Vodafone, nothing else seems to work here. WiFi provided by resort is bad around the area, keeps disconnecting.||Overall a good place to stay for families or friends.

I went to this resort in Summer, so climate was not good in day time but in evening climate was good. Provided rooms were small but it was very decent and clean. They provided both veg and non veg food i did't like the food though. resort has facilities like Badminton, Fire camp so you can enjoy time there. You can see beautiful view of Nilgiri mountain from the resort.

Don't even think of this place, this should not even be your last resort! We booked one of the bungalows as there were 10 of us. Absolutely pathetic service, firstly there were still cleaning when we reached there, we were just waiting for some 45 mins. We had to chase the cook some hundred times for every single thing. Food was below average... Rooms were terrible as well, there were cobwebs everywhere, don't think those sheets where ever changed. The so called manager in charge did not even bother to come greet us, despite asking to see him numerous times. Cook's usual excuse for literally anything we would ask for (e.g tea, lunch, dinner) would be "no gas" "no water" "head cook has gone home" and such other nonsense. We had to escalate to their administrative staff in Bangalore for each and everything. ||Zero recreational activities, there's literally nothing to see here. It's a dry and arid resort. Probably gets a shade better after summer. Resort is poorly maintained as well. ||One and only thing they did decently was the campfire... ||Cost us nearly 3k per person, absolutely not worth the money. Complete waste.

This place is a go to if you're looking for a vacation among the wilderness. We were in close proximity to deer, black faced monkeys and nonetheless the tusker! It's completely safe and the hotel authorities are well equipped. The service is brilliant, the food is great and the people are extremely hospitable and cooperative. The hotel manager Mr.Rakesh took the extra effort to make our stay memorable. The chilly evenings around the campfire, the trek and the jungle safari are a few of the many attractions the place has to offer! - PRABU

Its a very good resort .... Different type of Affordable package they have. last time i stayed with my family ,they enjoyed lot the ambiance, food, service, and hospitality .During the night time wild animals will visit the Resort....and we taken lot of photos of Tusker .it's very large property ,located in a core area of forest. They have a small kind of children park , shuttle court, football ground , and all is there in the resort...........

I'm always fond of places with loads of greenery, nice view and peace...This place offers you all and in abundance. They have small cottages about 12 of them, few of them are connected cottages. It is not a fancy place but it is clean with neat bed usually twin sharing. The backyard opens out to an extended green meadow with a mountain range view. If you happen to be there on a full moon night I assure you will fall in love with the scenery. Food is provided by them, again nothing fancy, basic staple. Masinagudi town is about 3-4 kms away so you can get your stuff from there. Over all for me in the lap of nature perfect place to rejuvenate yourself.

Stayed in July 2016 with family in cottage.|rooms were of ok size buy found insects and lizards inside the cottage. staff were courtesies but services was slow. Food was ok but limited options and price was ok.||cycling,badminton , archery , cricket were some games you can play.They organised some local trekking as well. Birding is another activity you can do here
