Mudumalai Wildinn Jungle Stone Cottage & Resorts

We stayed at Wild inn Resort for three days and we were always greeted by friendly staff. The view from the firtst floor was awesome and the sitting room next to the window made the view even more enjoyable. The staff was extremely accommodating and met almost all of our many requests quickly. The food and service at both the restarent was excellent. Special thanks to manager Shridhar for the personalized service that made our meals and hosipitality truly special. Fresh foods of all kinds would be offered to us and he wanted us to try the best of everything. Kumar at the travel desk was knowledgeable and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed all the safari offered and more at his recommendation and often with little notice.|||| We enjoyed nightly carom fireside in the lobby .||||We felt very much at home at Wild Inn Resort and were sad to leave our many new friends at the end of our stay. We highly recommend staying here!

Well, after searching a lot I got rooms available in the resort for a long weekend in June 2017. I saw mostly positive reviews and really got skeptic whether everyone can give positive reviews about this resort or mostly they were paid reviews. However I had no choice since I planned to visit late during the long weekend and hence I decided to take the chance. I drove from Bangalore - started at morning 6:00 AM and reached the resort by 12:00 noon, it's on the way to Ooty, about 30-40 km prior to that.||||At the first glance itself I fell in love with the place. The calm atmosphere, the serene mountain, the clouds all were so heavenly, that I decided I would again come back here again. Afterwards, we settled in our rooms, had bath and went for lunch. Again you would fell in love with the food, homely yet so nicely cooked. Probably all my family members gained 2-3 kgs in the 3 day weekend.||||The behaviour of the owner Mr. Manjunath and the other staffs was very nice and courteous. They all try their best to make the guests comfortable and do whatever possible to make you feel better. The staff won't speak much, but whatever you ask, they will get it done silently, as if some magic wand did the job.||||Manjunath is a great host, he helped in every bit of my vacation, and a tip, please ask Manjunath for the Jungle jeep safary, you will not be disappointed. We didn't ask for the bonfire however but we saw the other folks enjoyed a lot.||||I promise to come back again to this place and definitely will recommend folks to visit and enjoy one of the best relaxing vacations you can ever have. After the visit I realised one more thing, none of the reviews can be paid, after all everything is so perfect that you will be automatically fall in love with the place and the people.||||Do yourself a favour - go and visit Mudumalai Wild Inn Jungle Stone Cottage once.

Good location. Pretty much in the middle of the forest. Good drive. The food and service is about average. Slightly overpriced if you do not have any discounts. There is a good morning safari which is worth it. Ambience and location is very beautiful. Good for team outings or larger groups.

Awesome get away location. Peaceful, beautiful, quiet. Rooms are amazing, clean and everything well organised. Went with my crazy bunch of friends and they made our stay memorable. Food is amazing, home food in an outdoor space. Definitely a place to re-visit.

About 20 people in our family visited Masinagudi in May 2017 and stayed at this cottage. ||||The location of cottage is quite beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by hills. There are some great places around the cottage to go trekking. The facility could be maintained better; there's some random scraps around the area and barely any greenery within between the cottages and common areas. ||||The rooms on the first floor have a great view of the hills and get some fresh breeze throughout the day. ||||The staff are also very helpful, however they could maintain the facility a little better. We found dirty dishes on corridor in the morning, left over from other guests' dinner the previous night. ||||There is a wide choice of food available and quite tasty. The kitchen is open to catering to specific tastes and dishes if required. ||||It should be noted that this place is one of the few where pets are allowed. ||||Overall a decent stay for two nights.

This resort in the middle of the forest and a lovely place to spend a few days away from the crowd, noise & any other kind of pollution. A treat to drive through the forest, relax at the creek not far from the resort. Do not expect a room service or a lavish service at the resort. It has all the basic facilities needed to cover the stay. Usually has a breakfast buffet n dinner. You can request for a camp fire and they arrange woods and other stuff. Enjoy with friends n family. Totally recommend!

Nice place to stay. Rooms are clean and very good. They have a watch tower. Can go and sit there and try your luck for sighting of animals. Food is very good. The bon fire is awesome in the evenings. Elephants may come near the resort. Totally relaxing place.

Stayed here in mid-March for a weekend. Visited with friends- all couples. While this is bracketed as a budget resort, the prices are comparable to other resorts in Masinagudi that offer much better service. We had booked with Blue Valley, but were directed to this resort after reaching there.||Pros - ||- Great location - Masinagudi||- Has a bungalow with common room. So very convenient for a large group.||The pros probably end there||||Average - ||- Food was very average. Nothing much to write about||||Cons - ||- No front desk. Virtually no manager in charge. ||- We had to reach out atleast three-four times for every query, for water/tea/food.||- Cleanliness was not a priority for them. They cleaned the rooms only after we reached the place (Despite us calling them a couple of times when we were enroute)||- No ground rules for guests. We found a group of ten-twelve men having a loud drunken party. Some even leering and talking to girls in our group in drunken state.||Not at all recommended specially for family/ couples.
