Glen View Jungle Resort

Wanted to give a comprehensive lengthy review of the resort and the location that will help all of the travellers.||||WE travelled to this resort in mid to third week of July during the middle of the week. The resort was in the middle of thick forest and its a paradise for nature lovers. WE stayed in the Treehouse. This was one of the biggest treehouse that can accomodate many people than one could imagine.||||The resort staff were very friendly and helpful. The resort includes food as a part of the price as well. Since the time i went was middle of the week and there were no other occupants, Buffet was not available. But however the staff accomodated each and every dish that we ordered for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The staff were so friendly and courteous and always enthusiastic & willing to stretch themselves to make the customers happy and their stay pleasant. The food was of extremely high quality and there was not a single dish or meal that we could complain about. ||||The treehouse was also very clean, well maintained and extremely nice to stay. During the night, one could hear the sounds of the wild animals from the forest (A scintillating experience). The resort, despite being in the middle of the forest is very safe place and all barbed wires are in place for elephants and wild animals to not enter the resort.||||To top it off, we were very lucky to have the owner of the resort (Name withheld for privacy purposes) visit the resort during the time of our stay. He is a wonderful person to meet and was very friendly and helpful during our stay. He took us for trekking and sight seeing multiple times during our stay there and shared many wonderful stories and experiences of his encounter with the animals. He took extreme pleasure in ensuring that we get a wonderful experience in wild animals encounters and took us to many places that only locals would know and not a very touristy location. While I do not want to put this as a normal expectation from the owner (LOL), we really loved the company of him during our stay and he really made our stay extra special.||||This resort is a delight for wild life lovers!!!!

I really like the atmosphere there. So quiet and you could listen birds chipping all time and it was so relaxing to be there. Very expensive for the food and the accommodation they offer (can be cheaper). Good food but long-delayed food delivery, we had to sit more than 2 hours hungry waiting for lunch. You could take a walk into the forest towards a small waterfall. Kinda different experience.

Been here a few times.Happy that they have renovated. The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. Complementary breakfast served is good and tasty. A great option if your plan includes more of travelling/sightseeing and you just want a decent place to rest. The location is also excellent. staff are very helpful and this place is a recommended one to friends for short stays and overall a enjoyable place and we would like to come back to this hotel on our every vacation if time permits...............

Experience a real jungle resort at GlenView. The ambience and resort structure should give you a feel that you are put up at a trekking spot rather than a resort. Eco friendly bamboo hut built on large bamboo grass at 20 ft high was special. The camp fire facility makes it very special. Lucky to have very tasty crab the day we visited over and above other meat and supper. Very good resort to freak out.

Stayed in June 2018 with friends. Location is great (at the rim of forest land), food was good and separate place for camp-fire. There is a even a trail that leads to a small waterfall about 100 meters from the place. Other amenities are average, highly recommended with friends

We made a trip from Bangalore. Arranged with the resort to pick us from Mysore railway station. Promptly the vehicle came and we reached the property without any problem. The property is at a jungle away from the village. So if going by own vehicle after reaching bokkapuram get the assistance from the resort since only a jeep can take you from a point. ||||The rooms are rudimentary and requires lot of maintenance. We stayed in one tree house and one myd hut. ||||The food was the highest factor here. Very delicious and customised to your needs. ||||They arrange a jeep safari at 5.30 pm. I suggested to them to advance this as it was already dark in the middle of safari. At close encounters elephants crossed in our safari.||||||Mr. Benny the manager was very friendly and he accompanied us for the morning trekking to the jungle.

Its a wonderful experience we had during our visit to this resort. It bit looked like off roading on the way to this place. The rooms were neat and the staffs were pleasant and helpful. The food was of good quality and we like it very much. The trekking path they took us was nice.

- Best place to relax in the middle of the forest|- Rooms are neat, small yet comfortable.|- Approach road is horrible, filled with boulders and rocks. There is a sufficient parking space for cars and bike.|- Resort is right in the middle of the forest, hence no internet connectivity and no TV.|- Resort is safe to stay/ visit, unless you venture out during night due to high proximity of meeting an Elephant or a Leopard. |- Deers are found abundant during morning hours before 12 PM.|- Food is nice, limited variety for both Veg and Non veg, Buffet though.|- Felt price could have been little cheaper with respect to approach road which is nightmare for new cars !|- Would recommend anyone to stay here once in your lifetime. |
