Chettinad palace style property with antiques collected from Chettinad, Tirunelveli , Madurai etc. Situated in a quiet village close to Kanyakumari and Suchindram. Spacious rooms with modern amenities that match the heritage looks that the property is aiming for. Not far from highway- however the last 100mts approach is a bit challenging -particularly after rains. There is some construction going on currently for adding rooms- hence maybe best to visit in about 3-6 months time. The family lives downstairs and offers homely meals if you pre-order. We had dinner and breakfast- both times the food was tasty. If you are looking for a quiet stay in a heritage style property this would be a good choice. Also suitable for photo shoots.

The Place is really Awesome to Stay. Every Walls and floors is decorated with Authentic blend of Tamil & Kerala architecture. The Nature is preserved both inside the House premises and surrounding as well.. Best place to stay and Leisure.. The Owner of the House is Very Humble and Friendly. No words to express the Happy feel during the stay.. Really worth to have wonderfull Stay..

Hosts are sweet people . They made our stay very memorable Thank you for the 24 hr check in & check out which made our stay hassle free . The architect was such an eye treat . Definitely must visit place to enjoy the beauty of this house & scenic view of neary by mountain .

A perfect blend of tradition and comfort! The authentic Tamil architecture, delicious home-cooked meals, and warm hospitality made it an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended for those seeking cultural immersion and tranquility.

Chettinad palace style house with a good collection of antiques from Chettinad, Tirunelveli, Madurai etc in a quiet village -Pothayadi- close to Kanyakumari and Suchindram. The property is not very far from highway -but the approach (last 100mts or so) can be a bit challenging particularly after rains. The rooms are spacious with heritage style furniture and modern bathrooms with fittings matching the overall decor. The shower design could be improved. The family stays downstairs and can arrange tasty home cooked meals with prior notice. When we stayed in Nov 2024 there was some construction going on for adding rooms- hence if you are planning for a quiet vacation, it might be better to wait until the works gets done in about 6 months time.

We were group of 21 people and stayed in this vintage Home Stay which is near to Kanyakumari and it was like stepping back into our olden days while enjoying modern comforts. Muthunandini palace mesmerizes with its classic decor and antique furnishings, and a charming atmosphere all over the home. I highly recommend this stay in all aspects of experience, accommodation, sophistication, value.

I had the privilege of visiting the Muthunandhini Palace and was utterly awestruck by it's breathtaking architecture!
