MGM Whispering Winds in Yelagiri turned out to be a wonderful stay for our family. The rooms were spacious, neat, and extremely well maintained. What impressed us the most was the bathroom--large, spotless, and thoughtfully kept. For families, that's a big win, and honestly, it was mind-blowing. We didn't try much food from the hotel except for the breakfast, which was decent. It mainly included South Indian items along with some bread. A small suggestion would be to add a few continental options like sausages, but that's just a thought--not a complaint. The swimming pool was good, and the icing on the cake was spotting peacocks near the campus, visible right from our rooms--a lovely touch of nature. The only thing to be cautious about is the approach road to the hotel. It branches off from the main road and, while manageable, lacks street lights at night. In some spots, the roadside isn't protected with barriers, so if you're giving way to another vehicle in the dark, just be extra careful. Overall, we as a family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting Yelagiri.

It was a wonderful place with pleasant climate (May 1-3). It allowed us to create a lot of fun memories. The room was great and highly comfortable. It is also pet friendly . The food service is slow and costly which can definitely be improved. PS- you will wake up to peacock's song and dance in the morning.
Excellent resort in a scenic location. You can enjoy nature.Rooms were very clean and staffs were very polite and good. All visiting places are within 3 to 5 km radius. Food wait time after ordering was a bit more but taste was awesome. It's better to order the food 30 mins in advance and go to dining room. Recommending this resort.
We visited MGM whispering winds for 4 days with our family. It was a pleasant stay. The ambience was too good. The rooms were clean and neat. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Food was good. kids can get themselves engaged in various things like swimming pool, park, indoor games, trampoline. Bonfire during weekends was too good, we enjoyed all the games. Food was good. But they are taking more time to prepare food especially during dinner time. That can be planned well.
As it was my first time visit to Yelagiri, I had a wonderful experience. Got to experience the 14 u pins.wonderful experience overall. Had a great time at MGM resort ,even if it was just for 2 nights we enjoyed each moment spent @ MGM, would love to visit again as the ambience and the view from the rooms, the beautiful sounds of birds and peacocks will bring u back to the same place. The staff were very friendly and the service is also good. Best place to take a break from are busy life/routine. Purely connected to nature.
We had a wonderful stay. The property is well-maintained, offering a peaceful, greenery views and relaxing ambiance. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the surroundings were beautiful. A special mention to Sheeba Mam, front desk staff and physical activity staff for their exceptional hospitality. Highly recommended. Suitable place for everyone.
Great place near Bangalore, relatively unexplored... the property is well maintained with five star quality rooms.. don't expect great FnB but it is manageable. The water quality in the pool was great.. and each room has its balcony where you can get together and have fun , no external noise! Perfect for a short vacay
I'm no stranger to Yelagiri. I've seen the hills when it was just a place where Don Bosco had a nice place running their outreach programs. I don't like the development that has come to the hillls and in a few years we're going to see a repeat of Ooty here with the crowds coming up the hills. MGM is not a place I'm a stranger to. Vailankanni and Muttukaadu are two places I've been to a lot of times right from my childhood. Having said that, I went up the hills with big expectations from this stay and to keep it short, it was hugely disappointing. The property is owned by an old hand in the hills which could be the root of a lot of MGM's woes at the moment. The infrastructure is good but surely not equal to the amount of money we paid to stay there. There is a pool and it is good that there are rules around pool usage. There is a small ground and a trampoline and some walkways to loiter around. They setup activities and have campfires, all welcome and good. The food was decent, nothing wow that would commensurate the costs. Rooms must be much more cleaner. A 4 people room must have beddings, towels, bath mats, dental kits for 4 people. The food laid out for breakfast must scream "must try" and not be "yawn" level. Not for the money one pays. A good example to emulate would be to replicate the breakfast in MGM Beach Resort (outside Chennai). The best thing about this place is it's people. Everyone was so courteous and welcoming and helpful. Not one soul had a stare or a dull face. The gentleman manning the parking lots and helping with the luggage was super helpful. All staff in the restaurant were more than helpful and heard to feedback with a keen ear. What's with the milk booth styled reception I wanted to ask there and I forgot!
