Ramtel Inn

We happened to stay here this time in Madurai. Right on the main road. The reception on the ground floor is small and the entrance isn't that welcoming. The parking is not visible ..... don't be taken by these factors. The rooms are comfortable. Since it is right beside the main road the sounds are very much audible..... having lived in India.... I am used to this. The breakfast wasn't a buffet but it was enough. Good and sumptuous. South Indian breakfast. The towels weren't soft but clean. Toiletries were provided. We had some difficulty in opening the door. The staff were very cordial. Stay was good.

It's the worst experience ever; the service & amount we paid has not have any match; First they give us electric kettle but no tea & coffe kit; and said they have an Short circuit in the hotel earlier after that they did not mentioned in the website; second they don't have sufficient bell boy; only one staff & security guard itself helped us but 40% of our luggage we carry on own both during check in & check out; Although in the complimentary breakfast they have fixed south Indian veg dish that to in thali system with one special items only have one piece for each person and no variety this is the worst kind of variety & service I ever seen in the complimentary breakfast....Also others staff are nice but one receptionist is very rude behave like we are asking for charity and try to impose fine wrongly in the name of smoking to loot money.

One of the worst hotels, I have ever stayed. What is the problem, to bring 2 sets of idli for a heart patient, if it is not available in the restaurant and have it with the complimentary breakfast provided by the hotel? I am not sure how they can ask to take the plate which is already food in the room, that too in front of many people. I was not okay with that, even I got support from many intellectual people. However, even worse part was when the so called hotel manager not sure about the name, came and started arguing with us and told us that we spoiled their hotel ambience and reputation. The only mistake was we didn't check the review properly about this hotel. Hence, I would say everything can be ignored if it is bad also, but when there is no humanity in terms of elderly, there can not be any hotel's growth or success. Shame on the manager and the people who can not support on these trivial things.. Rest you all can decide, before booking this hotel

We had requested for an early check in but they denied it and asked us to use common restroom. The common restroom experience was pathetic and super uncomfortable. The hotel is too small and parking is also a big problem. Breakfast wasn't prepared even at 7 30 am. We requested for bread atleast and even that they did not have. Hotel staff were rude and it was overall a very bad experience.

I had a nice stay there... Rooms were cosy... They provided toiletries in every room... We booked it with breakfast included.... and the food was okayish..... But the problem is the bathroom.... One bathroom for 6 people??! Are you kidding me...

My honest review! Yes the staff is good and friendly no doubt. But the rooms are very stuff. No ventilation and the bathrooms had a very bad odour. The room rate was too high.

Worst experience staying in Ramtel inn hotel,no space for car parking,no hot water,worst dinning,no restaurant,fan was not working,A/C running with loud noise,not able to sleep and not worth for money they charge. Honestly I don't want to give one star also.

The only advantage is the prime location kalavasal , The receptionist asked for the marriage certificate and that too in 2025, it seems like he wants to cancel the booking, he asked why I am here at madurai, my offer letter everything and i was afraid he would ask for my grandfather's ration card and even his polio certificate. The watcher is the only guy who is loyal to the owner, In the morning he is a waiter in a restaurant and in the afternoon he shifts to security. The room was good, TV was working, the bathroom was good. Overall stay was good except the first five minutes of checking. This much security checking is not there even in PVR cinimas. Pros : location, complementary water Cons: car parking not there bike parking is available min 3 bikes can be parked Complementary breakfast: idly/pongal/uttapam, please don't ask for complementary water to take in bottles from restaurant they will not give , don't ask for extra tea and coffee unless you don't want to be get ashamed( will not provide) Overal rating is 4 Rating to receptionist( guy with beard and long hair ) ....minus 1000
