Hotel Vijay

The hotel is located 1.5 away from Meenakshi temple. Rooms were good but there was no tv connection. Bed was comfortable for two persons. Parking also available. Room service was also fine. It's near to periya bus stop, will be easy to board bus for other sites to visit. Overall I rate 4/5.

I stayed at Hotel Vijay on the 19th and 20th April 2025 during my visit to Madurai. Compared to other hotels in the area, this one was well-maintained, clean, and provided excellent service. The staff were polite, helpful, and genuinely made my stay comfortable. A special thanks to Raja, one of the service staff members. He went above and beyond by helping me explore Madurai's famous local foods. He suggested some amazing items such as Murugan Idly, JIGARTHANDA , Rose milk & Badam Milk and personally arranged them from well-known places in the city. The food was absolutely delicious THANDA--authentic flavors that truly represent Madurai's culture. The room was a bit compact but had all the necessary amenities, including a good AC. For 300 per person, I also got to experience 5 Places Madurai town trip, which was an added bonus and made the whole stay even more memorable. Overall, it was an awesome experience staying right in the center of Madurai. I'd definitely give 4.5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to anyone looking for a budget-friendly, well-serviced stay with a touch of local flavor.

I stayed at Hotel Vijay and found it to be just okay. I had booked an AC Deluxe room online for 1600, with a 12 PM to 12 PM check-in and check-out policy. The room was quite small, but the AC worked well and the bathroom was clean, which was a plus. However, I feel offline booking might be a better option here -- even though it costs around 1800, they offer a flexible 12-hour check-in and check-out based on your arrival time. Overall, it's a decent place if you're looking for a short stay without expecting anything fancy.

They allowed early check-in, which was very convenient. The room was a bit small, but definitely worth the price. It was clean and well-maintained. I also appreciated that they let me store my luggage in the lobby after checkout--great service overall.

A value for money hotel in Madurai. Boththe busstand and the railway station are at walkable distances. Ideal if visiting Meenakshi Amman temple. All private bus have stops just behindbthe hotel, infront of the Periyar bus stand. Good over connectivity. They have both AC and non-AC rooms. We had booked a non-ac room, which they upgraded at a small price with in 5 minutes on request. Staff is friendly.

I have stayed along with my family for 3 days. Good environment for family accommodation. The room was neat and clean. WiFi and hot water facility available here. Service was good and staff were polite to us. Very near to the bus stand and railway station. Central place to access the tourist spots.

Our stay at hotel vijay was good overall. Near to the meenakshi Amman temple(around 1.5kms). Staff was attentive. Wash room & bathrobes were clean and fresh. Good for an overnight stay. Had issues with the room(515) fan speed which was slow to the normal standards rotating at slow speed even at the highest number set. Probably needs the condensor/regulator changed to fix it up. Hope this will be addressed. Thanks

Had a very comfortable stay here! The extra bed was decent, the AC worked well, and the room was clean. The staff was helpful with food recommendations nearby, which we appreciated. The highlight of our stay was their assistance in organizing our trip to Rameshwaram. They arranged a great car at the best price, and the driver made the journey even better with a healthy and scenic breakfast stop along the way. Highly recommend this hotel!
