Hotel Germanus

Room are perfectly cleaned. And house keeping staff is so helping and welcoming specially this one lady Mrs. Lily, i like her the most as she always welcome u with warmth and affection, thats commendable. She always ensure that our rooms get cleaned beforw we come back from work. That totally make our day.

It was my worst stay at any hotel in my life. The room was dirty, furniture,table, side tables all were in shabby condition. AC WAS LIKE OUTDATED fixtures fittings are also old type. The electric board near the side table was loose.There was leakage in the washroom, towels were dirty and there were smells, provided only one dental kit despite requests for two,only one plastic tumbler was provided, service poor, room and washroom unhygienic, nobody was there to help. Breakfast was also not up to MARK, and worst are the attendants at the dining area. Very DISAPPOINTED, IF POSSIBLE I WOULD HAVE GIVEN RATINGS IN MINUS. IF POSSIBLE AVOID STAYING IN THIS SHITTY HOTEL. WORST They CHARGED 5600/- FOR THIS TORTURE.

Location is at the main area of the city and there is on-site parking. Rooms are maintained neatly without any doubt. Restaurants and tea shops are at a walkable distance. Had a great stay.

Germanus, once a luxurious hotel, has lost its sheen and glory. Staff service is pathetically slow. Room service and housekeeping staff are very lethargic. Food is not that good. Breakfast buffet was not palatable at all. Not even the eggs were cooked to order. Overall experience was quite disappointing.

They tout luxury hotel but the time has come for a refresh. Simple things will make a big difference 1. Clean the grout in the bathroom. The bathroom itself is fine. 2. Repaint the rooms and hallways. 3. Allow for a/c to be adjusted vs only off/on. 4. The sheets and towels are aged and it shows. Get new ones!

I had left my earrings in the room and the housekeeping staff got it back to me, that was the only highlight! Thank you very much for that! Stinky rooms and washroom, stained toilet... food wasn't all that great as well! All in all, not a good experience.

No hygiene at all. Worst experience ever. No basic sanitation. Fungus on bathroom walls. Pillow covers look like they have not been washed since months. Breakfast is ok but dinner experience was very bad. They charged 5000 for such very poor quality rooms.

I had a disappointing experience during my 3 nights stay (between 6th Mar to 8th Mar-25) at this hotel when I travelled to Madurai along with my wife for PiligrImage tour. We need to change the the room twice . The intercom from the room 406 was not working besides plug points. Room is very ordinary and old bath rooms. Just 14" inch TV is in the room. Complementary BF is not good in taste. To my nightmare, we need to change the room to 310 from 410 as we saw the big rat when we entered the room at 9 pm after outing. Staffs are not professional and doesn't have basic attitude that is required in the hospitality sector. Rooms charges are exorbitant for facility provided. It is high that hotel management need to change their approach and shouldn't be complacent
