The experience at the hotel was phenomenal. The staff is very polite and professional. The place has a sense of tranquility to it. The resort is spread over a huge area, so it's easy to go for walks without worrying about security. They also offer pottery lessons for all the guests. The water in the swimming pool is at a comfortable temperature and the pool isn't deep. The buffet is a multi-cuisine taste buds fest. The rooms are spacious and have backyards for comfortable tea time with loved ones. The resort also has a fully functioning gym that is accessible during certain hours. The resort also offers spa and massage treatments at varied costs. I had a really great time and would love to visit again.

Had a pleasant stay. Rooms were excellent with vintage aura. Cordiality was good. Swimming pool too hot to use in summer during the permitted timing 7 am to 7 pm. Food was very average for a luxury hotel and desserts tasted amateurish despite having fancy names. Definitely needs improvement on the food quality and taste.

Their warm hospitality made us feel welcomed and well-cared for throughout our visit. Ideal for Family Stays Traveling as a family of five, we found the resort to be accommodating and family-friendly. The spacious villa allowed us to stay together comfortably, and the serene environment provided a peaceful backdrop for our family bonding time.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Heritage, and I must say, it was a wonderful experience! The food at the hotel's restaurant was exceptional - one of the best I've had in recent times. The room's location, surrounded by lush greenery, was a lovely surprise. It was a great way to unwind and connect with nature. The ambiance at both the restaurant and the room was well-maintained, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job. If I have to mention one minor drawback, it's the presence of a few insects in the room due to the surrounding greenery. However, it wasn't a major issue and understandable because of the lush green outfield Overall, I would definitely recommend The Heritage and look forward to staying there again. It's a great choice for anyone looking for a peaceful stay.

I stayed at Madurai Heritage Hotel in Room No. 2021, and it was an unforgettable experience! The room came with a private pool and was incredibly spacious, offering the perfect blend of luxury and comfort. Every detail, from the serene ambiance to the thoughtful amenities, made my stay both remarkable and memorable. The staff were attentive and courteous, adding to the overall warmth of the place. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable, premium getaway in Madurai.

We were charged around 400-500, a hefty service charge, yet the experience was disappointing. As non-staying guests visiting for lunch, we were clearly treated as second-class customers. We waited 45 minutes for our food, which, when finally served, was neither hot nor properly cooked. It gave the impression that the food might have been sourced from outside. To add to the poor experience, we were asked to vacate our table as the next table was "reserved" for a group of 10, even though we were a family of three including kids. 30 minutes later the same table offered to an in-house guest who is again a family of three. On a birthday outing, we chose not to make a scene--but this behavior from the staff, especially one who seemed to believe only hotel guests deserve good service, was shocking. When we raised concerns about the food quality, the cook briefly showed up, claimed it was fresh, and walked away without addressing the issue. It seems the restaurant only prioritizes celebrities and in-house guests, and treats regular diners as an afterthought--unless it's a weekend buffet. If you want a proof run camera dated on the 12th and see for yourself. Pathetic hotel management to be Frank and God bless you and your so called service. shame!

The Heritage Madurai is set in nice tropical gardens in the heart of the city, complimented by the lovely architecture of Geoffrey Bawa. The delightful architecture, especially around the pool area and Reception is exactly why the hotel is named The Heritage, it's style is traditional but still feels contemporary and fresh. Check in was done smoothly and efficiently and we were soon taken to our room which was in a block towards the rear of the property. The room contained a large 'wet room' style bathroom, which was huge with a third of the bathroom dedicated to the shower, a decent sink, fan, mirrors and some very wobbly sockets that also contained a hairdryer. The towels were really link bath sheets, very thin. The room itself was very comfortable with a comfortable bed, good sized wardrobe, safe, TV with Indian channels only and no speciality sport, children's or movie channels, reasonable Wi-Fi and plug in mosquito repellent, which is needed as due to the hotel being in a tropical garden there are insects in the rooms that need dealing with. The meals we ate at the hotel were very good. Breakfast offers a huge range of dishes that include local and international dishes, and tea/coffee, eggs and dosas made to order. The evening buffet is just as sumptuous, with a large range of South Indian curries, rice, breads and other sundries. We also ate a la carte Indian dishes on the second night of our stay and the flavour and quality were excellent. Service in the restaurant can be a little slow however, but it is attentive and did always deliver what we required. The Heritage provides afternoon tea each day in a recreated traditional village and offers tea/coffee and savoury snacks. We went on the first day and enjoyed it, and had the opposite experience the next day as it was chaos, no system for recording orders so mine was lost twice and then given away to another guest, no proper queuing, no one organising anything and in the end I just gave up disappointed. The pool area is very nice to spend time at, but disappointedly no one was there to take orders from the nearby cafe. Check out was smooth and efficient. There is a lot to like about The Heritage and I was really looking forward to staying there during our tour of South India, but I left feeling that although I had a good stay the hotel did not quite reach my prior expectations.
