Gateway Madurai

It's an excellent property with wonderful experience. The room was very clean and neat. We stayed in colonial room and it was quite big and had big balcony. The highlight of this property is the Peacocks. You can spot plenty and can see very closely and feed them as well. Morning when we open the balcony we can spot Peacocks near the rooms. The food was excellent and special local food like Adai was really good. My family throughly enjoyed and it's a treat to kids. Our special thanks to Ashwini, Abhi and Shilpa from front desk. Dev and Gobind from housekeeping. Anil Kumar from restaurant & Tapa Sahoo Chef, Sasi and Easwar from Security.

We stayed at Taj gateway earlier this week and it was a completely satisfying experience. The staff was very humble and cooperative. |We wanted to visit Meenakshi Amman temple and the complete detail about its timing, ways and means to reach, every thing was shared by Mr. Pandian. His complete support on this made our journey very fruitful and blissful. We had no idea about the festival going on and how auspicious it was and his directions and details made it easy and gave us a lifetime experience/ memory. :) ||Must visit.

Comfortable stay. Beautiful clean rooms made our stay enjoyable. Taj hospitality is beyond words can describe, very friendly and supportive staff, great food, temple visit was blissful thanks to the staff at Taj Madurai . |It was a delight to taste the local preparations served for the breakfast.

Excellent stay. The property situated in a good location. You will get a 360 view of Madurai city from the hotel. I thank Ashwini for her great effort to make our check in and check out process very speedy and comfortable. I recommend everyone to experience this property when you visit Madurai.

Gateway Taj Madurai is a Heritage Property established in 1890. It gives a panoramic view of the city of Madurai, including the grand towers (Gopurams) of the Meenakshi temple visible at a distance. |We were greeted by Peacocks and courteous staff. Mr Pandian was very helpful in making our stay pleasant and organising our temple visits. |Overall, we enjoyed every minute of our stay at the property.

I had a pleasant one day stay with my family at the Gateway Hotel Madurai. The front office staff gave a warm and professional welcome, making the check in process smooth and comfortable.|Hotel restaurant staff Mr Venkat Sai, whose courteous service and attention to detail truly enhanced my dining experience.|A special mention goes to Mr Yellappa, the security in charge, was extremely helpful. He provided clear guidance about the hotel's amenities and services, which made my short stay more convenient and enjoyable.|Overall, I had a very positive experience, the hotel maintains high standards in hospitality and service. Its a nice Heritage type resort at a hilltop location with forest all around in mid of Madurai Town. You can have a view of Madurai town and Giddess Minakshi Temple from here. You can find peacocks around who will even come near to your rooms. Its a Taj group resort. The taste of north Indian type food was not so as you can get in North India.

Excellent property and warm hospitality!|Though we checked in around 10:30 PM, Mr. Pandian assisted us with a quick and smooth check-in. A big thank you to him for his prompt help and courteous service! Also at Resturant food was good with great service.
