Cosmopolitan Hotel Madurai

Simply waste of money. Pros: Only Location Const: AC is uncleaned and Unserviced. Cooling is not sufficient. If you think switch on the fan, you can't...bcoz No fans are available in any rooms and common area. Bathroom is not cleaned and door not working properly No Soap will be provided. Hot water not coming during my stay. In bathrooms, no water taps are available. Only hand shower. Bucket and mug will be provided only after asking 10 times No prompt service from hotel staffs. No 24 hrs checkin/out. Even you stay for 1 hr you need to pay full amount. TV is not functioned due to failed to pay DTH installment by Hotel Totally not worthy for paying the room rent 3000 per day. If you want pleasant and good sleepy night, DONT book here. Search some other good hotel in nearby since multiple facilities are available in the locality.

Peephole didn't have the lenses and room is clearly visible from outside. No safety and felt very exposed. Hotel management also didn't care about that. Very poor service and complete waste of money. Even though rooms are neat management has to fix basic facilities like AC and safety measures.

I looked for a budget hotel near the railway station. This is ideal. Just 50 mts from the Railway Station cloak room. Cleanliness is ok. Rooms are spacious. Staff are courteous. Rooms don't have fans. Only AC. Bathroom is ok but commode height is more than the usual. Tough for short people.

Very comfortable duplex rooms for a family of four kids enjoyed the first floor. We had a comfortable sleep on the ground. Food was excellent. Breakfast was too good with varieties of pure vegetarian dishes. Every staff including Security has given us a beautiful and warm stay. Thank you, Cosmopolitan.

Feedback from our recent stay (Jan 24-25): We were a group of 16, but unfortunately, our experience was marred by several issues: - Faulty western toilet flush in rooms - No buckets provided in bathrooms - Insufficient hot water (only lukewarm) - Some room locks weren't functioning properly. Despite these disappointments, we appreciated the helpful service from the staff. The hotel has the most dirty and uncleaned room. I lost my trip to madhurai and spoiled my 2 days trip plan for the temple visit. Staff does not bother to serve you. Rooms are stinky and smelly as if not used for months wash room door does not close.i booked for 2 days but after checked in i checked out within 30 minutes. My whole trip spoiled they did not refund any money. I had booked in goibibo. Plz save your money and trip.hope it help others plan

A Terrible Stay at Cosmopolitan Hotel, Madurai Staying at the Cosmopolitan Hotel was one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had. From the moment I entered the room, it was clear that cleanliness was not a priority. The bedsheets were stained, the chairs were grimy, and the entire room felt neglected. The bathroom was even worse--dirty, unhygienic, and in desperate need of a deep clean. It was genuinely unpleasant to use. The air conditioning in all the rooms barely functioned, turning the rooms into stuffy, uncomfortable spaces. When I reported the issue to the staff, their attitude was indifferent and unprofessional. Instead of offering solutions, they brushed off my concerns, leaving me feeling frustrated and ignored. Their lack of concern for basic guest comfort was appalling. The breakfast was bland, uninspiring, and just as disappointing as everything else. With so many options in Madurai, you'd expect better, but this was below even basic standards. As if things couldn't get worse, the parking situation is a nightmare. The tiny parking area can only hold two or three cars, adding more frustration to an already miserable experience. The only thing this hotel has going for it is its proximity to the railway station, but that's hardly enough to justify staying here. Avoid this place if you value cleanliness, comfort, or decent service. It's simply not worth it.

The hotel is in a convenient location, but unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. The service was poor, and the cleanliness standards were unacceptable. The pillows in our room had torn covers and were visibly dirty. To make matters worse, there were no towels in the room, and when we requested them, we were given dirty, damp ones. The restaurant service was equally appalling. The staff member there was rude, unprofessional, and blatantly biased. He served others warmly while treating us like an inconvenience. Shockingly, we were even served tea in a broken cup. Overall, the management was disorganized, and the service was nothing short of horrible. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant or even basic experience.
