Vinayaga by Poppys - Kumbakonam

It's within walking distance to the Kumbakonam railway station. The rooms were neat, and the service was good. We tried room service for dinner, and it was satisfactory. They provided the complimentary breakfast and it was also good.The only drawback was that the ground floor restaurant opens only after 7:30 AM. So we faced some inconvenience in getting morning and also evening coffee. Otherwise, we had a pleasant experience

We came here 2 years ago and had booked room for four consecutive nights, upon arrival we discovered that the rooms were far too small than expected. So we left because it was too small for us. We asked for refund, but the hotel denied saying that we are past the cancellation date which is a week from checkin date if I remember correctly. However, the service was fine, also the price for room is very reasonable and like others mentioned, it is closer to railway station. the lobby needs to improvise a bit and the restaurant as well. Will post pictures later and update this review.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, spacious, and offered great value for money. The in-room dining service was also impressive, with good food quality. The hotel's location near the railway station made travel very convenient. Overall, a good experience, and I would recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and budget-friendly stay.

The room is bussing, the service is fire no cap. The rooms are great , the service is good. Not even lying. the tv in 106 was kinda wonky the setup box keeps losing signals making it difficult to watch the tv in peace. Otherwise it's all good.

Rooms are good and had a good stay overall. However housekeeping and related services need to improve. And secondly two important points are : Should have round the clock security and the quality of food need to improve and should be value for money. Thanks

The hotel's inability to resolve this issue was frustrating. 2. *Room Conditions:* The rooms were congested and overpriced, given the state they were in. 3. *Staff Responsiveness:* The staff seemed unresponsive to our needs, particularly when it came to addressing the bathroom issues. 4. *Food:* The restaurant's food was below average, which was a letdown. 5. *Beds:* The beds were uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. *The Only Advantage:* The hotel's proximity to the railway station was convenient, making it somewhat accessible for travelers. *Overall:* Given the numerous issues we faced, including poor maintenance, unresponsive staff, and overpricing, we wouldn't recommend this hotel to others unless significant improvements are made.

Supportive staff. Food is good. AC flow is not good in the restaurant. One humble request - It would be good if you could have a railing at the entrance to make it easily accessible for disabled and aged people.
