hotel is very convenient and rooms were spacious. Effective AC. |The experience of engaging a taxi from this hotel is not good. While the car and driver is good and courteous, when we asked the driver to show some place where silk saree is sold. The house he took was having a photo of EVR(nasthigan) and they said they like him. I did not want my hard earned money be spent towards a business owned by nastigans. Having selected I had to spend money and I will regret this till my death.

Spacious, clean rooms and bathroom. walk in closet is an added advantage. Have a small veg restaurant with very good food. Had a very comfortable stay. Would definitely choose this place during our next visit to Kumbakonam

I have been a regular customer to this restaurant in this Balaji Grand hotel, but today I had very bitter experience. I always used to pay my food bill through credit card, hence I gave the card as usual for paing the cheque. The cashier in the restaurant told there's no card facility and hence I should pay through GPay. I asked him why he's is not allowing me to pay by card. He behaved with utmost respect and asked to go to the main billing desk. I just told him that they should have kept a notice board saying the cards are not accepted. For that he told that's non of his business and asked me get away from the restaurant. I felt so bad, I had to call the manager and explain the issue. The manager and other staff were kind enough to hear the subject and they apologised. But the cashier was arrogant and behaved like a third rated rogue. I didn't expect this from a reputed hotel like this. I have decided never to go this restaurant again and also subject people to look for so many other good restaurants in Kumbakonam and avoid visiting this one.

had an amazing stay at Balaji Grand. The staff was exceptionally welcoming, the room was spotless and comfortable, and the amenities were fantastic. I especially enjoyed a lot and I highly recommend. Thank you for the excellent hospitality & I look forward to visiting again!

Clean, comfortable, centrally located, moderately priced hotel. Staff very polite and welcoming. AC, bed, shower were great. ||One suggestion: Bathroom is huge, with a long walk to the toilet THROUGH the shower area. Need to walk over wet area every time to the toilet, which can be risky. Please install a non-slip mat from bathroom entrance to the toilet!

We had a very pleasant stay at Balaji Grand Kumbakonam. We stayed for 3 days one year back. Excellent rooms and clean rooms. Perfect location.

My name is Santhosh, and I live in the UK. I recently traveled to Kumbakonam for my in-laws' Sashtiapthapoorthi. My entire family (around 50 members) stayed at Sri Balaji Grand (TSR Big Street, Kumbakonam), and our stay was truly exceptional. For a month leading up to the event, I coordinated with the hotel manager, Mr. Suresh, who was incredibly helpful in arranging the rooms. A special thanks to Mrs. Hema, who efficiently managed room allocations and ensured all our needs were met in the best possible way. I also requested Mr. Suresh to arrange food during our stay, and he introduced me to Mr. Velmurugan from Anandha Bhavan restaurant/catering, located within the same hotel. Despite short notice, he organized delicious meals for our entire family, making our experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Sri Balaji Grand for accommodation and Ananda Bhavan for food. Additionally, the hotel has a "Kumbakonam" book available for purchase at 850. This book provides detailed information about the temples around Kumbakonam, complete with pictures and Sthala Varalaru (historical significance). I strongly recommend it for anyone interested in exploring the region's rich heritage. A heartfelt thanks to Mr. Suresh, Mrs. Hema, and Mr. Velmurugan for making our stay comfortable and memorable!
