LILAC HOTEL

Me and my family stayed at lilac hotel for 5 days and the experience was amazing throughout. The rooms are clean, well kept and comfortable. The vegetarian food served exceeded expectations in terms of taste and was presented in a hygienic and attractive manner. The staff working there were so friendly and welcoming and were always willing to offer advice on local knowledge. Their warm welcomes and hospitality made our stay even better. The hospitality of Mr Vijay, Mr Chandru, Mr Karan and also the manager in particular was excellent. The chefs also greeted themselves and made sure to enquire on whether the food was up standard which it definitely was. Would definitely recommend to others.

Brilliant hotel in Kumbakonam - we stayed for 2 nights as when we were touring Tamil Nadu to visit different temples. The stay at this hotel was one of the highlights of the trip. The rooms are very spacious with 2 double beds (we had booked 4 rooms for our group). The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious. The staff were polite - especially the staff at the restaurant were really friendly and even made the special Kumbakonam Kadappa for us when we requested it. Highly recommended!!

The food was very tasty and the room was not what I expected. The room was very good. Jegan who I met was very kind and friendly. Chandru was also playful and kind and how can I forget about Nirmal who attracted my brother. Due their playful character and kind gratitude me and my brother including my mom had a great experience in lilac and have high expectations of coming again!

Had booked my stay here from 22 to 24 feb 2025. I chose premium room with nearly 6500 rs per night. I opted room with breakfast on booking.com. upon arrival found that breakfast is not included on the booking. This is One of the worst experiences in the hotels I have stayed. Upon arrival even a basic lodge has some staff to accompany the guests to the room, I was handed over the key and had to walk to the room finding it myself carrying my luggage. Though the rooms are quite spacious there is no locked cupboard inside. The washrooms nor the bathrooms do not have air freshers inside. Upon calling reception they sent a inhouse staff with some room spray. Imagine calling a room staff to spray your bathroom everytime you use it. The bathroom doesn't have hair dryers which most of the hotels of this sort have. For each and every thing you should call reception. Their cost cutting strategies are really annoying. I had to call the reception even to get a bucket. They have a card inside the room that says you can request for personal care kit, shaving kit etc which I did ,I instead got a shower cap brush and paste. They have a refill bodywash and shampoo box handwash which everything smells the same almost not sure if they use the same ones for all. For the price you pay this is the most worthess hotel in the area. Seeing the name tamara I decided to stay later to regret for staying. Wonder how they have 4.6 on Google. Lessons learnt. Don't blindly believe google reviews and decide like I did. Cross check your mail if you use booking .com and check if they really provide breakfast. Cross check your mail and the website if they both match.

The stay was very comfortable.|The amenities of the room were up to the mark. The ambience of the hotel was marvellous giving a nice vibe of spirituality.|The staff were courteous and helpful. The restaurant service was excellent and the best part was the pure veg nature.

An amazing hotel in Kumbakonam! One of the most comfortable stays I have had among my recent hotel stays. I was told the hotel is less than a year old and it far exceeded my expectations in all respects. What was supposed to be a very quiet 2 night stay with my immediate family took an unexpected turn when my father had a fall in the hotel lobby at the time of check-in. Immediately, the hotel staff along with the general manager rallied their forces to make sure everything was taken care of. The rest of the stay was simply excellent in terms of food at the restaurant, room service, room cleanliness, staff courteousness and concierge services. Each of the staff took extra effort to make sure we were comfortable. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel.
