Hotel Subra Residency

This hotel cheated me and deducted rs. 2500 from my advance payment .For futture my trip to kumbakonam I will never choose this hotel and I will never recommend to any one. The manager of the hotel was very rude and not behaved good. I will complaint to tourism ministry of Tamil Nadu through some sources. Cleaning the toilet is very poor.

Very good budget stay. Rooms were mostly clean. Bathroom was very clean and hot water was easily available. No noise heard from passing trains. Location is very good, near the bus stand and train station.

So far I had stayed in several hotels.To be honest Subra Residency is the best which I had so far.I stayed with my family over the dasara weekend, which coincided with my wedding day. ||||The hotel is in a great location, very central,Very accessible,very close to bus stand and railway station but very calm ambiance, inside its an oasis, so relaxing and peaceful. ||||The best part though are the staff, from check in to breakfast, lunch, dinner, the bar and concierge i have never felt so at home in a hotel. The food was awesome and delicious in Mahara-Sky view restaurant in 4th floor.We can see the entire town,especially all temple towers in one sight.The staff genuinely make time for you and go out of their way to enhance every aspect of your stay. we were only there for 4 days but i actually miss them! ||||The manager is familiar about all Doshas,Poojas,pariharm priihrm and organised a priest for me to execute it. I hope he is the only manager who can speak better English and understand Hindi among other hotel managers in this town.||He is Excellent in coordination of Navagraha tours and transport arrangements,spiritual visits,Information of all temples opening and closing timings,Provision of detailed Map of temples and its locations on the reception lobby. ||During my check out I was realized that they are service minded people among the hotel market.||||If you are visiting Kumbakonam for any purposes and are considering staying somewhere else, stop and just book the Subra Residency, its wonderful! Great place. Very well kept. Host was friendly....we were there in the off-season... just for a couple of hours. Reasonably priced (1000 for 5 guests). Super spacious room...was actually a 1 bedroom apartment. Place was clean and well furnished. Very close to the railway station (5 mins walk) *Has an elevator* This is a big brownie point Little things that go a long way.... Room names are cheran, cholan, pandiyan....based on ancient Tamil kings... rather than the boring cell numbers 101

Comfortable Stay @ Subra Residency!! I stayed here during my recent trip to Kumbakonam and will try to provide all details : Location : This Hotel is located very near to Railway station. Just 5 mins walk. It's located in a residential area. Bus - stand is about 700metres from hotel. Check-in: The room rates are as below : Non-Ac Deluxe - 1000/- Ac Deluxe - 1500/- 24 hours check-in check-out. Room: The room was very clean. Had all the things at place, Tv, Geyser etc etc. The hotel guys provided a complementary water bottle, soap and shampoo. The hotel guys we're kind enough to find some information related to temple I wanted to visit. The restaurant would be opened soon. The only thing to be improved was, Wi-Fi was not working due to some reason. Else it was overall comfortable stay.

Mediocre rooms. Booked a deluxe room which has one hall and room. Only the room has A.C. no dedicated parking, you have to park on the road. Rooms were not clean and could see the soaps used by the previous person still there. Okyish experience and not bad. Restaurant is closed and you have to go outside for food.

I have booked 3 rooms but have been offered 1 deluxe and 1 suite (2 rooms with hall), was happy. But the bathroom and rooms were not at all clean. In fact all the 3 bathrooms. I have chosen this place based on Google review but got disappointed. AC remote battery was not working properly. It would take only 20 rupees to change the battery. Cable connection was not working in room #202. After 4 to 5 reminders, they made it work at night 11:00 Extension phone was broken and not working, so each time need to visit reception. Water was coming in yellow colour. No water bottles provided. Towel and soap was provided upon our request. Basically these things should have been taken care before we check in. Tea and coffee was not available in the morning. First of hotel guys should understood that people travel with huge hurdle and expect peaceful everywhere. It would have take few hundreds to rectify that issues and hotel should take care of it. Thanks for reading!!!!

Very Near to kumbakonam Railway station. Backside of railway station. There won't be much noise around the hotel. Its away from hustle and bustle of the town. Peaceful. Rooms are named wisely like cholan, cheran, something like that gives the good feel at initial itself. Staffs are very co-operative. Manager Siraj started to be in touch voluntarily as soon as we booked the room using 3rd party website that shows they're proactive enough. He's full time available to be contacted for all your needs. Kind enough. Rooms are New, Nice and clean with good ambience. Although bathrooms were new, it required some constant maintenance I felt, like small fittings also for enhancing customer satisfaction. Otherwise it's good stay place for family. Have lift facility also. Overall it's Nice... Will visit again for sure if I am heading to kumbakonam next time..
