HOTAL RAYA'S ANNEXE-1

Good hotel for family members. Tourist and business people. Ac studios room is great and all rooms are good,nest and fresh. Excellent ac in rooms. Spacious. Good rooms and services. Front desk staff are ok But can be better with elite clients and frequently visiting guests...we enjoyed our stay. Car parking is good. But no cafe or food services. Nice hotel Rayas annex hotel

Pros: 1. Spacious and well-lit rooms 2. Good asethetics and ambience 3. Morning news-paper (Tamil and English) Cons: 1. Very average service. Everything needs several follow-ups (Towels, Toiletries, WiFi password, emptying the trash etc.) 2. None of the plug-points in the room work. All are loose. You need extra creativity to somehow balance your Mobile and get it charged 3. No one interested to fix any issue in the room (I had an issue with the TV. After quite a few follow up, Mr.Shankar came and examined but vanished. We never were able to watch TV) 4. We wanted coffee at 5am as we had to leave for temple visit at 5.45am sharp. No one were ready to help us bring coffee from nearby tea stall either... 5. No flexibility with the room charges. We had the room for just 5 hours and they charged us full, despite requesting multiple times.

*Review posted just after checking in* Rayas is a renowned name in the hospitality sector in Kumbakonam for many years . Have been regularly staying in their hotels as I keep coming atleast twice a year. Though my stays were mostly in Rayas Grand , this is the first time I checked into Rayas Annexe . What I like - Location - The heart of the town - easy access to temples in the town . Quality restaurants, Shops , Mahamaham Tank , etc are at a stone's throw. TSR big street is nearby too . - Ample parking space for Cars . - well appointed rooms , very clean and maintained very well. Very courteous , professional front office ,( while checking in), room service/ security staff . The Lady at the Front Office was quick too . - Restroom - I first check the condition of the Western closet and wash basin before deciding to stay - and to be honest they're pretty clean , spotless. The only Hotel chain to provide ceiling fan in Restrooms in all their Hotels . -Rooms - rooms are spacious with marble flooring , lighting is good , Aircon is efficient, Bedding is OK , definitely not cozy . Spotless linen. - two chairs and a centre table - convenient and sturdy wooden chairs - to sit and sip a cup of coffee Shortcomings - - despite calling the Reception thrice for WiFi password , between 9-20 pm to 9-40 pm , the Lady on Duty did not provide the password . This is unacceptable. - surprised to note that Dental kits and shampoo sachets aren't provided . Never expected this from a reputed hotel chain - cost cutting ?? That's not going to cost them more than Rs. 15 in total . The Management has to look into this. - only two rickety power points in the room , there should be 4 power points atleast -not enough for today's travellers. Gadgets are more now - no wardrobe - no electric kettle There should have a disclaimer regarding these . These shortcomings can easily be rectified and if done you will have more footfalls. But for these would have given 5 * stars. Cheers

Stay is good. Should make your contact number available in GOOGLE PAGE. We found difficulty in contacting the hotel. They allow 24 hrs checkin and checkout if we book directly with the hotel.

It was amazing experience with rayax, I loved the service and customer. Good place of locality, getting transit easily. Appreciate all rayx customer and receptinist associate's.

Raya's Annexe -1 was simply superb. Apart from the teensy honking sounds of the vehicles that creep into the rooms, I didn't find any negatives in aspect.

Good covered parking spacious rooms. Food has to be ordered. Yet delicious.
