Disappointing Stay at Ark Inn, Kumbakonam I had a very unpleasant experience at Ark Inn during my recent stay. The room was far from clean -- dust and grime were visible on most surfaces, and it clearly hadn't been properly cleaned before our arrival. The washroom was even worse, with a foul odor and stains that made it unusable without discomfort. What was most shocking was the condition of the bed linen. The sheets were visibly dirty, with stains and hair on them, clearly not fresh or laundered. It was extremely unhygienic and unacceptable for any hotel. Overall, I would not recommend Ark Inn to anyone looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay in Kumbakonam. It was a very disappointing experience, and I hope the management takes serious steps to improve the hygiene standards.

It's near to the bus stand walkable distance only. Staff are too calm they will arrange the extra beds also if we needed.

Definitely not a 3 star. But decent stay. Tidy washroom. Booked a room for 4 adults + 1 kid. It was a really big room. Window AC though noisy it was manageable. Parking at -1 , slightly difficult for bigger and low ground clearance cars. Liked aquarium in the reception.

Rooms are not clean. Not even suitable for Batchelor stay. Bedsheets, pillow and towels are dirty. Mosquitoes are there.

Opt this place only if you're traveling by two wheeler or bus. It is quite difficult to drive a car around to this place. They have a good parking space though. I called them about room availability, they said the amount was higher than what was shown in the app. So, I have booked online. The first room which was allocated wasn't cleaned properly and we switched to another one. Rooms were ok, clean and organized. The bathroom weren't so clean, kinda looks older and the water leakage caused the place to look dirty.

1. Very difficult to reach the hotel as the roads leading upto the hotel was too narrow. 2. Family rooms which were reserved 3 months prior were not alloted. 3. Reception service very poor. 4. No WiFi available. 5. The room service was the worst. 6. Hot water kettle was provided for only an hour. 7.Hotel cannot handle huge crowd. 8. We are not satisfied with the Make my trip management who has recommended such poor hotel. 9. Intercom not available, door stoppers not available, Poor lighting inside the rooms 10. Too noisy as the hotel is adjacent to Kumbakonam old bus stand. We checked in on 16-Aug-2024 at 13:00hrs. and checked out on 17-Aug-2024 at 6:00 hrs. even though out check out time was upto 12:00 hrs.

The photos of rooms as shown in Google photos do not exactly match with the actual rooms in reality. The hotel is located in a small lane behind Kumbakonam bus stand and thus in a stinky, and unhygienic area. The photos/information in google do not really highlight this fact. Cleanliness in rooms needs to be improved. Considering the above, the monetary value that was paid for the room is inversely proportional to the room's cleanliness and location. Nevertheless, the Manager at the hotel was patient enough to hear our feedback.
