Viruksham Homestay

Well maintained property in Marudanallur (6kms away from Kumbakonam). One can access from the main highway. Homely food available with prior booking. Tea/coffee, washing cloths facilities were offered to our group of 11 people by the caretaker. Caretaker Venkat and his colleague are well behaved and cooperative. Big rooms (there are 6 rooms) and big bed which can easily accomodate 3 pax. The owners were also very cooperative.

Rooms are good and spacious. There is a central place where family can spend time socializing. Decent parking space and drivers also can be accommodated. Location is quite close to Kumbakonam. Food can be ordered on swiggy. Better to eat outside.

Its a very calm and cozy homestay. Do not expect like a Hotel. All you can feel is feel home and worthy.

A simple and elegant homestay experience at Marudhanallur, which is just in the outskirts of kumbakonam. This is the third time we stayed in this property. If you have a car, you can travel to all nearby places of worship. Rooms are well maintained and the caretaker takes good interest to maintain the property. Food can be ordered over phone from a nearby home catering facility at nominal prices. Overall a pleasant experience and we would like to stay again in this homestay in future too.

Excellent. This Homestay is located abt 5kms from Kumbakonam. I booked for two days when I visited temple town. Aesthetically built rooms. Felt at home.

It's totally worth the stay. Though we had to order food, you'll be sure to get your morning Filter coffee here. If you're here for your temple visits and looking for a good place to stay, then this place will be the perfect one! The rooms are decent and have AC- a good quality Mitsubishi.

I highly agree to all positive reviews given here. Only reason I reduce one star is the power issue. When we stayed during here. We faced frequent power cut issue. The power was restored very quickly but the problem is when power cut happened in night this will make us in trouble (especially if we have elders or kids), the whole building become entirely dark. As the power cut may happen at any time, my suggestion is to put inverter for minimum lights and fans in all rooms till the power is changed from EB supply to DG And from DG To EB supply.
