The Alampara Resort - Luxury Boutique Glamping & Watersports

The Alampara resort is a little corner of paradise on the Coromandel coast, intimate, luxurious, peaceful and relaxing. The staff are attentive and flexible to needs but without being invasive of privacy. The tent we had was marvellous, very well specified, in wodnerful position on private lake and views over the estuary, all the necessary mod-cons on the inside yet perfectly in place in nature and with the calls of the wildlife etc. The restaurant was great, again attentive staff but without being overly burdensome - just the right balance of privacy but being there when needed. Would love to visit again and highly recommended, did not disappoint.

Wonderful Experience in staying at The Alampara resort, its place for serenity with nature water bodies and luxury . Also they have various water sports activities must try Knee board water sports which can be learned and suitable for any beginner . The resort is kids friendly place, staff are very helpful, polite and finding out all the way to make our stay happy. Food was super tasteful, we booked the stay for 2nights and tried almost all the dishes in the menu. Appreciate the management came with such an wonderful concept of Luxury tents in South India. The tents are pricey but its worth spending for pleasant and memorable gateway . The team offered an Complimentary cake for my husbands birthday which is very kind and overall this place is hidden treasure near Chennai and Pondicherry, will recommend to visit and experience the nature.

We were looking for a one night outing with the family of 3 adults. During my Google seach , came across Alampara resorts. Since the reviews were encouraging , I took the plunge to try out Alampara resorts. The booking experience over the call with Raffi has been positive and it happened just the previous evening hours smoothly. Another appreciable action by Raffi was to send the menu over the WhatsApp while we are on the way still and encouraged us to decide the menu and communicate to him so that on arrival we can have lunch without much waiting time. It went well. On arrival at the resorts, we liked the thoughtful idea of car hut sheds to park the guest's car in a shade. The thought of providing buggies and mini luggage carriers is very useful for guests especially during hot sun or late evenings when it is dark for pedestrians. We received very prompt service at every stage during our stay. We loved the Naturalist Shiva's passionate explanation about the birds and the assistance in spotting them , the details about the plants in the facility. The binoculars were effective and simple to use and served the purpose. Again a good thoutout implementation i would say. The deluxe tent # 102 was very spacious and very well designed and furnished. We liked it. On arrival the third bed for the 3rd adult was already laid out. Every detail was taken care of as requested without having to be reminded again. I liked the way all staff in decent uniforms, following a well defined process in servicing a guest. Staff were prompt in attending to guests requirements. The facilities inside the resort are very well thought of keeping in mind guest's need and convenience. e.g. be it the washroom / bathing facility near the restaurant that was helpful for a guest to freshen up on return from a beach ride and after indulging with sea water at the private beach. We found it useful to clean-up ourselves before having breakfast in the morning as we were feeling hungry and was having no mood to goto the tent and loose time. Other useful general facilities around the resort for guests to cool theri heels by sitting and relaxing was found usefull. The staff was trying to do their best in recommending us activities and the time slots with in the short period on one night stay we had to best use our available time at the property. Raffi was accommodative in accepting our request for a late checkout by couple of hours as got delayed with activities. We had a very good stay overall. Had we come during winter time, it would have been an even more good experience from a climate perspective.

The Alampara resort is no doubt so idyllic in its setting.... the white muslin drapes that hang from the ceiling and the luxurious funiturue in the tents, no doubt make the chambers look ornate and elegant ....however, how i wish there would be attention to detail; that the body wash and shampoo containers would open with ease, that the water( recycled??) in the bathrooms would not reek foul...that the open spaces would be free of stray dogs; that the old fashioned lovely sitting area that is so breezy would be kept peachy clean and free of crowling insects! How I wish that the staff who are managing the reservations would pay heed to a guest saying that she is coming to celebrate her birthday! Wouldn't it have been a touching moment to see and hear 'Alampara' joining in the celebration at least , with a smile, with a flower, with a sweet or a cake, maybe?!!|How i wish Alampara's setting and lush tents; its serrene waters frolicking with fun activities and its sumptuaos culinary treats would be well matched by the property's painstaking maintenance and by the quality of service it offers !

I went with my family for a relaxing getaway, and it was beautiful. We could cook our own meals, and there was a small swimming pool. The place is pet-friendly and has three rooms; two of them are equipped with AC and fans. The decor has a lovely beach aesthetic, making it a great spot for a getaway with family and friends. The place also offers activities such as kayaking in the backwaters and boat ride to a nearby shore.

This is my first time to a luxury glamp and it was incredible. The service is amazing, the rooms were top notch & were maintained so well. They had all premium amenities, perfect for a comfortable stay. Along with basic stuff, this is the first time I'm seeing period pads placed in restrooms by default. overall the property & service is great at Alampara.

The stay was amazing and incredibly refreshing. The service was exceptional, and the staff were very friendly. The food was consistently fresh, hot, and delicious. My kids loved the water sports activities available. We always look forward to returning for a peaceful yet fun holiday. It's wonderful to wake up to the sound of birds, surrounded by water and nature. My heart and mind felt truly rejuvenated.

This place truly deserves a 5-star rating for its exceptional hospitality, delicious food, captivating ambiance, and eco-friendly environment. Staying in their luxurious tent was one of the best experiences, incredibly comfortable and perfectly suited for relaxing amidst nature. A special thanks to Mr. Sakthi, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I made multiple calls to him, sharing details and preferences, and he made sure to pay attention and fulfill our requests just as we expected. A big thanks also to the amazing staff who contributed to our wonderful experience: Mr. Rafi, Mr. Saravanan, Mr. Raghu, Mr. Praveen, Mr. Dinesh, Mr. Ram Kumar, and Mr. Santhosh. Their dedication and attention to detail truly stood out. The culinary experience was outstanding, thanks to Chef Saravanan and his talented team. Their menu caters to diverse options, and they are even happy to prepare dishes off-menu upon request. The hospitality here is unmatched, with all staff members being humble, polite, and friendly. Their warm smiles and willingness to assist with any queries made our experience even more delightful. Highly recommended activities include their water sports and the nature walk. During the nature walk, Mr. Siva impressed us with his deep knowledge of the local flora and fauna, sharing fascinating insights about various bird species, insects, and flowers. A highlight was witnessing a pied kingfisher in action, hunting for fish. Overall, this is the perfect destination to immerse yourself in nature while enjoying thrilling water sports.
