The worst villa that I ever visited we wanted two rooms discussed on pricing sent the food menu to the chef sumit travelled from ooty to the door to nirvana 50 kms with kids women and family after coming here late evening they cancelled the room without informing not a single call made to us and informed that the cancellation is booked after reaching he deleted all the room Information and the food menu sent in WhatsApp I would suggest to never visit this place with family such a disrespectful owner using abusing language to us over the call I would rate zero and worst behavior, I would definitely file a case against the resort for leaving our family in a life threatening situation. In middle of the forest and still trying to book the stay. Please do not visit.

We randomly took a girls trip to chill here and turned out to be a great decision . The views are sooo good right from the 6 bed dorm's balcony. We specially loved the food like rajma rice , kadhi rice . There are 2 cute dogs , 1 cat , little kids , such a wholesome place. Neat and tidy . Commute to here if you don't have a vehicle might be not be straightforward but they are very helpful with that. Attractions are not walkable , and you will need a vehicle to go the main town or an other attractions

I recently stayed at this hostel with four friends in an eight-bed shared room. The overall experience was decent, although sleeping was a bit challenging due to the limited reach of the two fans in the room, especially considering it was summer. However, the atmosphere of the place was excellent. I had the chance to interact with many individuals from various backgrounds, which added to the experience. The hostel features a campfire, which was a nice touch, although we didn't try the food as we heard it was a bit pricey. For dining options, there are several hotels and tea shops near Aravenu Junction, about 2 kilometers from the hostel. The hostel offers private rooms in addition to shared accommodations and has common areas for table tennis, foosball, and snooker, with the latter costing Rs.150 per hour. Parking space is somewhat limited; during our stay, we saw three bikes and two cars parked inside, while others had to park on the road outside. It's advisable to stay within the premises at night due to the presence of wildlife such as bison, cheetahs, and bears. In fact, we spotted a bear just outside the property one day. The staff and owners of the property are friendly and polite, which made our stay more comfortable. Lastly, the hostel is home to two golden retrievers and two cats who love to play with visitors, adding a charming touch to the overall experience.

Nestled among the estates of a Kotagiri it's a perfect place for travelers who like to avoid the mainstream crowded places. The host Akhil is quite friendly and will help you have a fun time around. Absolutely loved the two golden retrievers. Rooms are very clean and you get decent food inside the property, Overall its a very good place to stay, Go for it. Definitely coming back once it gets Colder.

The surroundings and landscape are wonderful, but we did not feel welcome in the hostel. when we arrived no one told us about the place and the surroundings. one of the owners is very nice, but his employees not so much. when we asked about something, the helper was very dissatisfied that he had to show us something, e.g. how to turn on the hot water in the room. Overall, we felt like intruders throughout our stay. The atmosphere is not like a backpacker hostel. You can't use the kitchen, but if you're bored you can read Mein Kampf in the library, lol (yes, they have such a book for guests xD)

Amazing!! Just one word enough to describe it . Located at a beautiful serene and laid back location with a gorgeous view of a huge tea estate right in front . Dorms were spacious , both the 6 bed dorm and the 10bed dorm . Clean and neat washrooms with a shower cubicle. First time seeing such a well equipped washroom in a hostel . The view from the balcony is amazing . The place is constructed in a very entertaining manner . There are multiple levels . They have several socialising areas , a nicely designed patio to take photos , a dining area, and a separate space for the campfire. Shocking aspect was we were asked to place the order for dinner at 4.30pm and it was the last order . But good thing is they called us and informed us that we wouldn't get any dinner any where around the place and we had to let them know if we wanted dinner to be prepared at the hostel itself (even though we had not checked in nor had informed them about the time of our arrival ) Dinner and breakfast was satisfactory and nothing very great . But definitely tasty and filling .

This was amazing stay at The Door to Nirvana. Very friendly atmosphere, staff is helpful, beautiful location with fabulous views. Rooms are wooden, cozy and spacious with balconies. Food was delicious, freshly prepared. Highly recommend this place, if you are nearby, you should definitely visit.

We had a wonderful experience staying at this hostel. Akhil and his family (inc. 2 very friendly dogs - Jacko and Sansa) runs the place. This hostel has close to 25+ dormitory beds and 2 private room stays. We took a private room for couple of days. ||Pros :|1. Very clean, very well maintained, great bedding and overall a calm room to crash.|2. Cooks are too good - all good dishes and very tasty breakfast.|3. it overlooks a valley with tea plantations bang opposite - can chill sitting in the open space/dining place for the whole day.|4. Game Room/open common spaces to mingle and be engaged with others.||We had our own vehicle to commute - however in case you would like to visit all famous places around, you'll need to book a taxi as the place is around 7-8kms from bus regular route. That too is not an issue as Akhil would help you get the taxi's.||i will definitely recommend this place and would love staying here again.
