KODAIKANAL HOME STAY & VILLA & COTTAGE

We were group of six trekkers who stayed in the ground floor for the night. Rooms were clean and neat and bathrooms were clean and had hot water facilities. We had a bonfire in the evenings and the food prepared for dinner was great. Non veg and veg were great and the idly vada for breakfast was out of the world. A value for money place and a simple place as it's reasonably priced. If you bare looking for luxury and great amenities this is not the place for you. A great place and well located to the many tourist points in the city. Go for it ! Keep Kodai clean ! Incredible

if you book this property from online platforms they first contact you and share their best pictures from the property and take the initial advance . When we visited the property it was Nothing like that , the kitchen was unkept and just for namesake ,,,,there was one dirty kettle nothing else ... the rooms were full of flies and dust mites ., TVs did not work .. a dog walked into the room when my parents were asleep . THE Host of this property likes to only hear the positives , the moment we mentioned the discrepancies in the amenities promised vs present he turned verbally abusive and got very personal . we were forced to pay the full payment . i would never ever got for such a place ... there are many other villas that few of my friends stayed in ..nearby to this place ...those were so much better and worth the cost . PLEASE avoid this place.

The property is a good one . But the management is the WORST ! The host is not friendly at all .... The kitchen in this villa is not functional at all..it's dirty and unkept and with zero amenities .... The host prepares food if informed in advance and you need to pay for the same .... We opted food outside and the host did not take that very well .....!!! It's absolutely not.safe considering this place is too interior and there are much cheaper and better options available at better locations than this !! Zero pay off for what you pay ... Doors did not have latches , tv did not work , the bed spreads were not clean , the tables and rooms had dust mites everywhere . Out of the three bathrooms only on was clean the rest two were very stinky ! TVs did not work ...the management did not slash any price for the missing amenities instead were verbally abusive towards us ;would never recommend this place !

A budget friendly stay ,good location and home cooked breakfast a must try

WORST STAY EXPERIENCE ever!!! The rooms were not clean with dust mites all over the place . The place is in a very interior area ., we booked a three bedroom villa from them for our stay . We were promised tv for all rooms ... Out of which only on tv worked ...upon asking why the others were not working and if you would compensate for the false information the host locked at us saying if we travelled for a TV ??? The kitchen is just namesake ; the kettle was dirty and unkept .. the bathroom windows did not have latches ..they were all tied with wires ..the tables chairs were all dirty . The host when questioned about all this got verbally abusive with us inspite of us questioning this in a dignified manner . On the second day of our stay there were continuous thud sounds coming from the ceiling . The host denied telling there is no way the sound wouldve come .... PLEASE THiNK A THOUSAND Times to book this.place . Worst stay experience ever . !!! The property by itself is a good place ...but the maintenance is very poor not worthy of the cost they quote and especially the host is shrewd and abusive and gets personal if you question anything ...!!!!

The host in this location is an abusive person ! We booked a three bedroom for home stay . One of three tvs were only working , and the windows did not have latches , instead were tied by wires . The host was annoyed that we did not order food from Him . Absolutely not friendly , not catering to customer needs , we stayed with elderly ppl and had to undergo huge discomfort . The place is also not safe as we had continuous sounds from the upper ceiling , the host is very rude and abusive . This place also in a very interior area . Please be careful of the host . When we questioned the absence of services the host mocked at us asking if we came all the way to Kodaikanal to watch TV !??? They did not compensate for any of it ... instead forced to pay the whole amount for the pathetic service . Not friendly at all . The property management doesn't take criticism in a dignified manner !! The worst stay experience ever !!!! STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!

We went as a bunch of friends and booked diffetnt homestays from the same area ! Wr stayed in this ...and this place was the worst in our opinion ...wasn't safe , wasn't clean , the amenities promised were not provided , the host doesn't take constructive criticism very well .... The property doesn't have any security / gates either .the locks of the doors were feeble and week .the bathroom windows did not have functional latches ....were all tied with twines ! Kitchen was dirty and barely had anything to work with .

The rooms were clean and well furnished..The bathrooms were clean and hot water was available..The food provided by the Caretaker Mrs.Devi was delicious and far more better than any hotel..She was friendly..we loved the view near the resort.. totally it was a great stay..
