Kodaikanal Cottages

The stay in Winter Green Cottage was our best experience in our complete tour. The place is awesome & cottage added further flavour to our stay in our budget. Location, staff, food everything was just perfect. It was very pleasant being there in Kodaikanal. Had a great moments and every one were very much co operative. Thanks once again for making the days very memorable. Would like to visit again in future, Once again thank you guys for making such a wonderful days.||||As it was a very good experience & I would recommend this cottage to my friends.

We stayed 2D/1N. Cottage was amazing, surrounded with tall trees. The cottage has a garden with a small tree top sit out, a camp fire. Must spend a day here. But staff was not helpful. When asked for drinking water they said will bring in 10 min. But they never turned up. After 20 min when I went to ask again, he slept locking room. But cottage was really a good one.

We (group of 10) had been to this home-stay couple of weeks back. Reached the venue at around 9:15pm and badly needed campfire to get away with the freezing cold. Before reaching the venue we were promised that campfire will be provided but later staff started giving some lame reasons that its already late, no kerosene etc.||After booking 3 rooms for 10 of us, we were given with only 2 rooms. Each room had TVs without remotes. Entire night there was no power and when asked about this in the morning they started arguing that home stay is little outside the city so this was expected. When we said we are checking out without paying anything extra, owner who had switched off his cell phone the previous night started scaring that we can't go out of Kodaikanal without complete payment (Transferred 1k as advance booking). But we checked out and booked separate hotel.||1 Star for the weather.

We were a group of 9 ppl. We booked this cottage since we had no other options. All the cottages were already booked and we were left with this last one. We had booked two rooms here.||First of all it is nothing like a cottage. They provide u rooms.. And these rooms are the most dirty rooms I have ever stayed in my lifetime. There were house flies flying around. The bathroom was not at all cleaned. Flush wasn't working. The room had dim lights and bulbs weren't working. The mirror was put up in a corner where there was no light. The caretaker would take lot of time to provide us for something we asked.||Totally it was a bad experience in the so called cottage.

Very very poor. Only breakfast was ok. There is no hot water. Walls in room n bathroom is full of fungus. There is no room heater.||Driver didnt show us all the places in sightseeing because we refused to have lunch in a hotel where he took us. He was driving very rash after that to show his anger.||Dont choose winter green cottage if you r going with parents n kids.

This home stay is not at all worth a stay. Its very far from Kodai and the staff are not at all friendly. They promised us Camp Fire in the night and it was never provided. As this is located very far from the city there was no power whole night. It was a cold night for us without any heater. The reason they gave for power cut was some cheap transformer they have in that area. ||They had put a tv in hotel but its just for show as there is no remote.||||Overall its total waste.

We have booked the entire set of rooms for 2 days. It was a nice stay, good & calm locality, helping staffs.||||There may not be much of indoor activities related facilities, but you can really enjoy the weather, take a walk / trek around.
