Some of the major concerns include: 1. *Rude and unprofessional staff*: The staff seemed unfriendly and uncooperative, with little interest in providing services. 2. *Lack of basic amenities*: No restaurant, drinking water, or hot water facilities were available. 3. *Poor housekeeping*: Despite repeated requests, the rooms were not cleaned properly, which was particularly concerning with small children. 4. *Inadequate facilities*: The absence of a functional geyser and TV made the stay uncomfortable, especially given Kodaikanal's weather. 5. *Outdated payment options*: The hotel's cash-only policy was inconvenient in today's digital age. Given these issues, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The experience was disappointing, and the hotel's shortcomings outweighed its convenient location.

Disappointing Experience at Hotel Swiss Cottage I recently stayed at Hotel Swiss Cottage in Kodaikanal and was extremely dissatisfied with the lack of amenities and services. Some of the major issues I faced include: 1. Non-functional geyser: A major necessity, especially for children, in Kodaikanal's weather. 2. No drinking water: Guests had to arrange their own drinking water. 3. Poor housekeeping: Despite repeated requests, the rooms were not cleaned at all. 4. Unhygienic bedding: The blankets and bedsheets were filthy. 5. Non-working TV: A basic amenity that was not functional. 6. Cash-only payment: The hotel manager only accepted cash, which was inconvenient. 7. Unresponsive management: The hotel management was uncooperative and in denial mode from the start. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone due to the lack of basic amenities and poor service.

Worst receptionist and Manager with rude and annoying witty face. Please respect and value the customers. service was very pathetic.for example *Even though they r not providing soap & hand wash. * Washbasin was leakage and after complaining manager argue with us and deny for any preventive maintenance services. * while asking for room service, manager openly said we will not provide service for 3 days stay. worst experience ever . .

Cons ! Cons ! Attention Worst Manager and very bad service. After talking with manager , i regrets to stay there. This hotel don't have restaurant facility . The manager will tell you to wait for 45 minutes for tea. Bathroom was also pathetic with basin not working. Kindly think twice for staying there.

center location , however instead swiss cottage they can change to boost cottage has there window and bathroom filled with boost, fungus and more, dirty filthy place, if u want to buy room here go for suit room and ask them to give only room facing road,, service guy dint allow to upgrade also to nicer room even thought it was empty we request him we have kid with us dint agree

Rooms are clean, service is average. The reception people are rude n cold! But the service guy Mr.Mehtab is quite okayish. The view from Balcony room is beautiful! They charge 1800 for standard rooms without balcony and 2400 for balcony rooms but this is too much in compared to other hotels. Even in off season they charge too much!! It's better to book online beforehand. The hot water timings are there and you'll get it only for 1 hr 30 min in morning and evening also...rest all day you'll have to use ice cold water only There's no restaurant in hotel so you'll have to walk around 300-400mtr for even breakfast. The hotel is nearby to Coakers walk so you can visit it anytime you want till 6-7 pm. Also the surrounding area gets totally silent around 8-9 pm so it's better to complete your dinner before that! The street heading to Main city road has a bar and many drunkards roam over the road at night so better avoid that road after 8-9 pm.

Pros: Location , easy to reach lake, Bryant park, cokars walk, bus stand by walk and parking Cons: 1.No Daily room cleaning 2.Hot water will only be provided twice, morning 7:30-8:30 and again evening 7:30 to 8:30, which is a issue for a cold place like kodai. 3.They don't have kettle in room and if asked for hot water then only slightly lukewarm water is provided! 4. No restaurants at the hotel, you have to either eat out or order from swiggy but it will take more time 5. No wifi , inside room u won't get cellphone tower U can consider this if u just need room in budget and no need for any service
