Disappointing Stay at Hilltop Towers I recently stayed at Hilltop Towers in Kodaikanal and found the experience underwhelming. The room appeared dated, and the bedsheets provided were not hygienic. The bathroom and toilet facilities were in a pathetic condition, lacking cleanliness and proper maintenance. The complimentary breakfast did not meet our expectations in terms of taste and variety. The primary advantage of this hotel is its central location, offering easy access to the lake and Coaker's Walk. Additionally, the staff were courteous and helpful throughout our stay. However, considering the room rent charged, the overall experience did not offer good value for money. I hope the management addresses these issues to enhance the guest experience in the future.

Poor service. They charge like a 3 star hotel. They turn down most of our request. Even if we stay thete for 4 days they will not change the bed sheet, towls, pillow cover etc, no hyginic. We requested to change the dust bin on 3rd day of stay, but they told house keeping is done at 11 AM only.They charge 250 for childfen breakfast. It seems there is no variety nor unlimited BF and we just contain with what they give in a plate. The servers were very ruge and harse, they fight with customers on silly things. I have visited there restaurant for food for about 12 years but day by day they behave nust like goons, the staffs at lodge are polite but they do not provide any sevice. They follow rivid checkout timing of 9AM and rigid checkin time. If we reach early morning we have to wait outside. No house keeping servise before or after 11AM. Stale and rotten food is provided and we got food poisoning. If needed then do not stay more than a day

A nice cozy place! Good for couples or family stay! Well mannered and professional staff, starting from front desk manager to room service executives. There are multiple choices of restaurant outlets, like North Indian, South Indian, Chinese. Food quality is great and excellent value for money!

Rooms are very bad especially bathroom is too small and it always smells bad. Since it's on the roadside, there is continuous vehicle noise. Hot water availability only on fixed timings and power cut happens very frequently. Overall it was not a pleasant stay. Also rooms are very costly not worth the money

Hill Top has maintained its standard over the past years as far as food is concerned. Cannot comment about the rooms as I haven't stayed there. But how the food tasted some 10--15 years back is almost identical to what you get there now ...

The staff is very arrogant and impolite. We made an online booking but our train got cancelled. We requested the hotel 24 hours before check-in for cancellation and full refund due to genuine reasons beyond our control. But the staff was rude and replied unprofessionally in rejecting the request. I do understand the policy and business, but I shared all the relevant documents for my genuine request.

The rooms were infested with cockroaches. Found around 6 just in the bathroom. There was a distinctive smell in the bathroom which stuck to our clothes. Food from their restaurant was exceptional but the rooms are not.

As a 6-foot-tall person, I found it challenging to move around comfortably in the bathroom. Additionally, there's a time restriction on hot water, which could be inconvenient for guests who need it at odd hours. Another important thing to note is that there is no lift in the hotel, and our room was on the second floor. This might be an issue for those who have trouble with stairs. The free vegetarian breakfast was decent and served in a buffet system, which was nice, though non-vegetarian options were not available. In summary, while the hotel has a great location and excellent staff, the lack of an elevator, small bathrooms, and limited parking space might be problematic for some guests. --- This review captures both the positive and negative aspects of your stay.
