Sunrise On Hills

Shockingly Bad Experience at a So-Called 3-Star Hotel I usually don't write negative reviews or even reviews as well I'll always put up the positives and focus on the positives but this experience was so terrible that I feel it's important to warn others. I stayed at Sunrise on the Hills from 01/05/2025 to 03/05/2025 - 2 nights, and paid 11,000 -- a complete waste for what was claimed to be a 3-star hotel. The room was in terrible shape -- dirty, poorly maintained, and nothing like the photos online. On day one, I reported that the TV DTH service wasn't working. Despite multiple reminders, it was never recharged or fixed during my entire stay. There were frequent power cuts throughout the stay with no proper backup. We were left sweating in the dark for long periods, especially at night, which made the experience incredibly uncomfortable. Breakfast was another disaster. The timings were listed as 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM, but on both days I was there, they only started preparing breakfast after 9:00 AM. Even a simple request like tea took multiple reminders -- I had to go down to reception twice, and it still arrived half an hour late. The caretaker was rude, completely unhelpful, and made no effort to provide even basic service. And to top it all off, they had the audacity to ask for cleaning charges at checkout, despite the already poor conditions and service. To top it all off, the pathway to the hotel is extremely steep and poorly located. If you're driving, dare to go only if you're ready to break your clutch pad -- it's that bad. I genuinely do not understand how this place is rated as a 3-star hotel. It was the worst hotel experience I've ever had, and I strongly recommend others stay away. Don't waste your money or ruin your trip by booking this place.

The last stretch is through a mud road and one definitely needs a vehicle to reach here... The view is scenic and the resort has good decent rooms with homely food.

Great place to stay. Homey yet luxurious. Been several times with friends, with kids, as a large group, and just as a couple too. Suits all needs. Cosy rooms, plenty of indoor and outdoor communal spaces, good service, and friendly staff. Location is ideal as well.. not too far from the lake. Have to book in advance as it gets booked up pretty quickly. Can't wait to go again!!!

The house is very beautiful and the staffsbare very friendly. It's actually closer to lake than we presumed (about 2.5km). Home cooked tasty food. Will definitely visit every time i come to Kodai

Excellent property to stay with family and friends. Host was super friendly. Best place to stay with kids. All three meals will be provided by the property if we pre-order and the food quality and taste was awesome. We will feel like staying in our own property. Access to city is very easy from this property.

Quiet location, lots of space to be together with your group, both inside the outside (rather than being curled up in your room--you can do that too, if you want). Mind-blowing food, great rooms and decent amount of parking. Great getaway place where you can forget about everything else and just go relax and unwind.

Great place and beautiful ambience. Breath taking view and excellent hospitality. I will definitely visit again.
