HOTEL SAMRAT

Around 5 km from the temple. The surroundings are good though a bit far from the temple and not easily reachable in case of traffic. Only small vehicles can be parked in their basement parking; but they allowed us to park our larger vehicle in the parking lot of another hotel(which they said was theirs itself) a couple of buildings away. This can be an inconvenience for some. The elevator is pretty old, noisy and slow. The restaurant is next door and is good, but they strictly don't allow sharing of meals. The rooms and bathrooms are pretty old. Hot water is available only in the morning; but they said they will provide it if you require it at other times. No free water bottles provided; they will provide some water in a jug. The worst thing about the hotel is the Wi-Fi. It is available and good but every time you require it, you have to give your mobile number to the receptionist and he will sms you a User Id and password to access. It is for one time use only and you have to request again if you disconnect. Also it is for one device only and you have to give multiple mobile numbers to use it on multiple devices. Good if you just want a place to sleep, else look elsewhere.

We booked thru ph booking, since we had early checkin and same day checkout, it's near to mgr bus stand(2km). Share autos avl(20).. Good spacious rooms, old styled, Neat bed and bedsheet. but we didn't get hot water in bathroom, though it was told. Restaurant tried breakfast seems fine, felt sambar/other dish served not so hot. And also tea/coffee shop nearby. We r 2 adult and 1 child(14). 2100 charged, felt little higher, could have been lessthan2k.

Recent review: staff is quicker to respond. We booked two rooms for 4200 for 5 adults 2 children via MMT for 24 hours. We got one room replaced for leaking AC water within first 2 hours and the other one at night as the AC was not cooling. They provided us with towels, extra bedsheets & mattresses (included in the purchase), bathing soaps, there is a water can on the floor and an elevator. The terrace is open to visitors. It is away from the temple but closer to MGR Bus Stand. Equipped with CCTV and adjoined by their sister restaurant. Hot water starts at 6 am. Initial review: receptionist just uttering hello 3 times (tried calling him twice with two different phones but it looks like either he doesn't want to talk or has some issue with telephone). They do not speak Hindi/English use Google translator that is what I did. Written 3 weeks ago before the visit.

Old and Very basic mediocre hotel. Rooms are very compact. They have an underground parking. Situated exactly opposite to apollo hospitals. But the restaurant is good; breakfast is really good.

Very bad experience we ordered fir chappathi but not at all roasted. Waste of money

We booked a non ac room. The room was clean and the service was good, food ordered from the restaurant was also great. Overall a decent and affordable stay.

Rooms are neat and clean. Service was good. Location is in traffic congested area.
