We had a pleasant stay here. The host and his family were very welcoming, and we enjoyed chatting with them about Madurai, its food, and local insights. The rooms are decent and fair for the price, and the location is right in the heart of the city, making it convenient for exploring. One of the highlights of our stay was meeting Charlie, their adorable and playful dog, who was a delight to be around. I had a wonderful stay at David Residency in Madurai. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, offering a comfortable retreat after a long day of sightseeing. Really poor service and small rooms. Me and my friends stayed there in last week for our company purposes. But till now they didn't give use our room bill without submitting bill we can't claim our money so if any one going to stay there for business or company purposes don't trust them they don't give you bill. When we are checking out they told use their billing staff is not reached yet because of early morning 7:30 so they will send it by that day evening but till now they didn't sent use. Be aware of this kind of frauds.

The only good thing about this place is the locality. I was extremely troubled by the fact that the room was incredibly small. They've taken nice wide angle and uploaded. Cleanliness is a huge problem. The sheets are different coloured because of the poor hygiene and even had fungus pores on it. They don't have a restaurant within them but lots of places around. Staff- I'm not happy one bit of how they responded to us. They haven't even returned the safety deposit after calling thrice. The manager Mr. Amarnath asked if he can keep it as tip between the 3 and I said very clearly No! The staff were fighting about cleaning and one of thr cleaning ladies were hitting the other young man in front of us - trying to boss around abd being loud. I still remember waking up to some telephonic noise. The people in the front desk are so loud while getting things done and using phones. Really upsetting to see this kind of a behaviour. The most outrageous thing is that this place has bible verses everywhere, bibles and so on but the place is definitely not ' christian like' when it comes to behaviour and many things.

The rooms were clean and had AC, but it was turned off at night. Initially, I thought it was a power issue, but other equipment worked fine. We booked an AC room for comfort, but with no room service, we had to endure the heat all night.

it was a decent stay for one night, but the ground floor room had some drawbacks - noise from reception and foot traffic. upgrading to an upper floor room might be a better choice. although the initial room had stained bed sheets, the staff promptly moved me to a better room. the hospitality was top-notch, making up for the initial issues. if you're planning a trip to madurai i'd suggest considering DAVID RESIDENCY for a comfortable stay.
